Please tag spoilers with the spoiler tags instead of backout tags.

Having seen a lot of comments on Facebook about how the movie has a lot of stuff to take in for its 2 hours and 30 minutes running time, it got me wondering about this. Obviously it's extremely clear that people on here are voicing very openly their displeasure about the movie. Unfortunately it's extremely hard to get a good read on who among those has actually seen it, who is just getting on the dislike train without seeing it and who liked it.

Before I get to my point, for the love of the fandom, please don't turn this into another hate filled thread. There's already plenty in every topic except maybe 2-3 of them. I don't care if you loved or hated it, you have a right to enjoy or dislike what you want, provided you have seen it.

I just want to conduct a poll and see if that theory that I've seen on Facebook, about having a second viewing or third, making you understand certain aspects that were missed the first time. Also curious to see if this has changed your initial perception of it. I'm also trying to see if there is a correlation between those who have read about all aspects of the movie (spoilers) and their enjoyment of it.

EDIT: Poll added. Please specify in the comments if you were aware of spoilers or not. Thanks to everyone for the comments thus far.

It was one and done for me. I don't really want to see it again.

I need a little help with the poll folks. Struggling how to do the poll fairly.

Two times, I'll be seeing it again tomorrow in 4D :D
That's gonna be an interesting experience for sure.

Yes. I've seen it twice and my rating has changed.

8/10 to start.

8.5/10 now.

Great film.

seeing it again tonight. interested to see if my opinion changes.

Thanks everyone for your posts so far. Really interesting to see but I'm failing to add the poll option. I'm not sure how to integrate the aspect of repeat viewings, change in opinion and wether people knew of spoilers before watching the movie.

I have seen it twice

First time, midnight showing X-Plus 3D with Dolby surround sound, I liked it a lot but I also felt it was weird. I did not like the score (some of it was way to loud) and I did not like Jesse Eisenberg as Lex. (8/10)

Second time, I loved everything, including the score and Jesse as Lex. (9/10)

It's a film that needs a second watch IMO, I think the first time it was a lot to take in and I don't like 3D so I think that made me feel a little weird about it whilst still liking it.

I thought Batman vs Superman was the best superhero fight ever put on film. Yes... Better than Ock vs Spidey. Visual masterpiece. Every other set piece was rather underwhelming. Doomsday was what I expected.... One ugly ****.

Overall, good action movie that collapses thematically.

Saw it 2 times already. Loved it each one. Second time I noticed some of the editing and pacing issues, but decided to focus on the good stuff instead and enjoyed everything.

Seeing it a 3rd time tomorrow. Can't wait :)

Seen it twice. The film is pretty incoherent and moves at a bizzarely frenetic pace so the second viewing helped clarify things but it didn't change my opinion either way really.

I will vote after Tuesday as I've only seen it once and don't want to skew the scale. If I click to view vote results, will that void mine automatically?

Enjoyed it even more the 2nd time. Actually itching for a third viewing now.

Excited to see it for a second time tomorrow. It's a lot to take in on one viewing.

Seen it twice, enjoyed it both times.

But hey, seems like I better change my opinion because it's apparently wrong.

Your welcome, hehe.

definitely planning to see the movie again for sure. i'd catch a screening everyday this week if my schedule would allow. (it wont). so im holding off on voting on your poll, objectivity and accountability is a thing for me.

also i will forever have a hard time comprehending why anyone would love / hate a movie they havent seen  reading reviews / spoilers / script leaks isnt the same as actually watching the movie. or just making do with a bootleg. i mean whut??:huh::huh:

I saw there was a lot of that going on, on this forum sub. To get the best idea on where everyone stands, it seemed necessary to have that option as well. But I do agree with you. It is very important to have your own opinion. How people share it is another matter altogether which is best for another thread. Haha

You gotta hate this movie, man. The critics do, so you should too. :lmao:

My score is 9/10 and that's all on merit.

Yeah, discounting all criticisms right off the bat is gonna go a long way in improving the mood on the forum.

Well so-called "historian" David Barton (for the record he has no degree in history) wrote a review, a negative review at that on Spielberg's Lincoln starring Daniel Day-Lewis, and admitted to not even seeing it. So yeah, this is an actual thing. :cmad:

I watched it for the second time and I am still disappointed. This movie could have been so much better if it had a director that knows how to tell a story in a proper manner. There is a good story somewhere in this, but the poor editing and unnecessary scenes made the film appear shallow and incomplete. Batman V Superman is a prime example of having style over substance.
