Hawkeye Hawkeye General Discussion Thread

"Last day for now. This is not a goodbye but a see you soon."
- Hawkeye is wrapped and Renner seems teasing he will show up somewhere else or Hawkeye get a season 2?

maybe he‘ll just tease a return in November/December, when it‘ll get released

Is there room for Ms. Marvel and Hawkeye for 2021? What If? comes after Loki and I read that's 10 weeks.

is there room in 2022 at all? we‘ll reach that time when there will be no break between new series and Starwars series and other stuff like Willow will be released simultaneously on the same weeks like new MCU series

Probably not although I would suspect that the GOTG Christmas Special is one episode

Marvel studios won't surely release their last 2021 tv series in the middle of the year?

Unless post production for Hawkeye is as demanding as a movie, I don't see why this can't be ready by late 2021.

Perhaps. I can see it going late 2021 early 2022 though with December and January depending on how many episodes there will be.

Wow the iconic purple comic booky costume! I hope that one isn't for the finale only!

I would bet its for the final. We had it with Wandavision before and in F&WS twice.
But those shows were about Wanda and Sam taking on those identities (Scarlet Witch and Captain America). Clint is already Hawkeye. If anything it would be Kate who'd become Hawkeye in the final episode and get a costume to go with it.

I wouldn't really call that the purple comic book costume. It's purple, yes, but there's lots missing from it to make it properly resemble the comic version.

Is he? When have we ever heard Clint or anyone else in the MCU refer to him as Hawkeye?

Personally, given that I'm not a fan of the legacy approach, I'd prefer it if he not call himself Hawkeye and that if the name's going to be used that it just be something that Kate alone adopts. However, with him getting a purple suit, I'm guessing that's not the case.

Oh marvel Studios should stop doing that.
I find it interesting that Marvel television essentially did the same thing. There must be something in television-making instincts for two distinct groups to follow the same pattern.

In the first Avengers movie when (I think) Coulson is watching footage from Clint and Widow's old Budapest mission on the monitor it shows their profiles and lists him as Clint Barton "Hawkeye" ( screenshot: https://i.stack.imgur.com/xkUou.jpg ) I feel like Widow calls him Hawkeye at one point in the battle of New York, too, I think when Loki is chasing her in the Chitauri aircraft.(Selvig also refers to him as "the hawk" at the beginning of Avengers, I know, not quite the same)

Also, his wife, Laura, calls him Hawkeye in Age of Ultron when Clint is oblivious to what's going on between Nat and Banner.

Speaking of Banner and Clint:

I would be at all surprised if there's no funeral for Nat and if there is, none of these two show up. I'll be surprised if we see neither of them show up at least in the mid-credits or post-credits for Black Widow. Both were very important in Nat's life.

I guess they are saving the new costumes/new look for the finale as a treat or a surprise. I just prefer seeing them right away so they are shown in promotional pics/posters. The more comic book accurate costume could easily be featured in the premiere episode, it just depends how the writer is going introduce the costume into the show. However plenty of costumes in the comic books eXist without eXplanation, see the X-Men comiXs. They literally change their costume all the time just cause.

If
Loki has a comic book inspired costume in his show similar in the Thor movies, it'd probably show up in the final episode.

Well we've already seen one comic book costume in the trailer

And at least Falcon's costume had more red and white like in the comics than it ever had in the movies from the very start of the show
