Has anyone else heard about this game by Free Radical, of Timesplitters fame?

It looks pretty good. Graphically fantastic, it looks like the next gen awnser to PC's crysis. It's set in a future where governments use mercenaries to fight their wars, and they use physique and ability enchancing drugs.

It looks fairly interesting, and I know some of you will care, it's the development team behind the original Goldeneye on N64.

I don't like how every FPS is trying to be Farcry now. We don't need jungle levels anymore than we need Lava or Sewer levels.

And Free Radical has disappointed me again and again with their games. I didn't like any of the Timesplitters games and I didn't even play Second Sight.

BUT YEAH, 'FREE RADICAL' HASN'T BEEN ABLE TO PUT TOGETHER A GOOD EFFORT ON A 'FPS'. IT'S WEIRD, BECAUSE 'RARE' HAS BEEN EQUALLY AS SLUGGISH. 'MS' NEEDS TO BUY 'FREE RADICAL'; THAT WAY, THEY HAVE A GOOD CHANCE AT BRINGING BACK THE MAGIC OF 'GOLDENEYE' AND 'PERFECT DARK'. :up:

Perfect Dark died with "Zero". It was Rare's big, fresh chance to bring in a new audience and they messed it up on purpose. Their FPS team will need to create a whole new IP now, maybe even in a different genre.

Oh, I see...

Yeah, Free Radical and Rare's FPS team haven't had a Goldeneye/PD quality game since the split. They may not again, if their games since are any indication.

But as far as James Bond goes, at least Activision has the license now. Maybe they'll get a competent developer to make the games.

My copy of Killzone must be somewhere...

Oh yay! Just found my Red Faction! Time to start a new revolution on planet mars me thinks.

I was just thinking about that game the other day. I heard it was really bad so I never looked into it too far, but I feel your pain.

I remember I was once so FPS hungry I actually played Myst, and that didn't help at all.
