HBO's Boardwalk Empire

I imagine they'll skip 2-3 years between each season in story-time from now on. We've still got Dutch Schultz, the Masseria/Maranzano/Battle of the Mustache Pete's, the rise of Capone and the national sydicate, Rothstein's murder and so much more that I want this show to be able to cover.

I wonder if Rothstein will be Nucky's last nemesis?

Probably not. There is a reason that they use fictional characters for Nucky's adversaries. On the other hand, Rothstein's killer was never caught. So I suppose it isn't inconceivable that Rothstein's death would be a creative liberty.

I can't imagine that they'll finish the show without going into the Great Depression.

For something set in the 1920's, focusing on crime and politics, I'm surprised Communism / the Red Scare hasn't come up more.

The Red Scare was more of a 1950's thing as far as I know.

Well, ya learn something new every day. Thanks.

Just found out Huston's in the running for Star Lord in GotG. If he gets it I hope it doesn't interfere with shooting season 4 of BE. That said, I'd love for the guy to get more roles.

That's awesome news! I hope he gets it!

EDIT: The end has come! Finale tonight! Can't wait!

Just got done over the last week or so watching all of seasons 1, 2 & 3 and am ready for the shin-dig tonight. Can't wait.

That's a lot of eps to watch so fast, lol. :p

35 of them. Took about a week and a half. You catch a lot more on the second go around.

I'm watching Season Two right now. I think this is the second time in two weeks I'm watching it too. But its so good.

This is true. I've watched the first two seasons over again and saw a lot of stuff I missed, lol. :) I am sure the same is true of this one.

I think we all(or mostly so) believe Gyp will die tonight and the most popular theory is that Richard does him in. But there's an angle mentioned in some theories elsewhere but given little traction here. The theory that Gyp's sexual activities coupled with his proximity to Gillian could mean that she ends up killing him(either through strangulation or some other means while he is incapacitated).

What time does the show come on over on the east coast? 9pm? If so then 2 hrs 14 min to go to kick off.

I catch the 11PM repeat, that way I can watch Dexter and Homeland, then BE all in a row. :D

I always watch TWD, Dexter, and then save Boardwalk for last.

I don't know why, but I always do it in that order.

What an end to the season! :wow:

That was the best gangster war I've seen on TV.
