Rust revealing some effed up stuff to Marty in the next episode... Marty's daughter, Audrey(?) must have been one of the many kids forced to do lewd things... Which would explain the stuff with the dolls in her bedroom, the drawings she did in school, and her promiscuity in her teen years.

That's exactly what I was thinking I when I saw the preview for next episode as well. And I agree--the signs that Audrey has been involved have been right under Marty's nose all along but, of course, he just never saw it.

Anyone else think Rusty acted out of character this episode? Dont get me wrong I love this show and feel its one of the best on tv but so far the characters have been pretty consistent. Rusty sleeping with Marty's wife isn't in his character from whats been shown. Just felt way of and unlike the character I have come to know and love.

I didn't think it was out of character for Rust at all. Rust is someone who hides his emotions and feelings behind a mask of cynicism, but it was apparent from the first episode that there was a mutual attraction between him and Maggie and subsequent episodes implied a growing sexual tension between the two. Maggie reminds Rust of what he used to have before his own daughter died and marriage fell apart, which is also why he believes Marty is such an idiot for cheating on her because he doesn't appreciate how lucky he really is. It's also why he gets so angry at Maggie afterwards--it's because she took advantage of his attraction for her just to get back at her two-timing husband in the worst way she could think of.

I don't think Rust killed him. Tuttle was probably taken out by his own people.

Agreed. But I think it's also evident that Tuttle, although he's not the Yellow King, knew exactly who it is and has been covering up for him because it would be a scandal if exposed. And I believe the guy the former tent preacher was talking about in this episode is also the gardener at the school we saw in episode 3, who is also the man with the scars the girl in mental institution was talking about as well.

Something tells me Rusty is going to go out Spike Spiegel style in the last episode. Dude is far too set on his goal to stop now.

I don't think either of them are going to survive.

I don't remember his name but the guy tha Rust was talking to, not Eli from Boardwalk, the other guy. He was wearing a yellow tie. Kinda seemed odd to me. How often do people wear yellow ties??

I hadn't thought of either of them dying actually. I dunno why, but I wouldn't like that. I doubt it'd be bad for the show, but I just don't feel like I want it to happen.

Loved seeing Shea Whigham again and I really want to believe Rust did go after Tuttle but it could be very much a red herring.

I am talking about the part of Rusty actually sleeping with her, Rusty for the most part hasn't exhibited any signs of sexual desire towards any female he has encountered. There was no sexual chemistry portrayed between Rusty and her although there was subtle interactions that made it obvious they were going to sleep together. In truth I thought Rusty would have found someone like her pathetic based on what he has acted like so far in the series. It just kind of threw me for one that he actually responded to her advances.

You're right of course.

I'm just pointing out that we have never seen him so low/defeated/upset even, and they made a good point setting that all up JUST before the fact.

When you're hammered, feeling really down and alone, AND you have a beautiful woman sucking on your neck...it's not that easy to walk away or deny her, whether it's your partner's wife or not.

Rust truly is a good man, but that doesn't mean he's incorruptible like Batman or something.
