A few months ago I got a used Sony LCD projecting HDTV (FC-50WE610). The TV itself has worked great with no problems outside of one rather annoying quirk - whenever we have tried to hook up our PS3 into it using a HDMI cable, it has a strong green tint. You can still see the PS3, but it's like there is a piece of green wrap over the screen.

We have to use a DVI instead of a typical HDMI cord, and we have tried using multiple cords (thinking that may be the problem) but none of them have worked.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

Is the HDMI cable 1.3 complaint? If so, then you need a professional to have it looked at. It could very well be the screen on the TV or something else. Call a Pro.

Is this for games or movies?

Here are a few possible fixes:

go to settings-> bd/dvd settings-> press the x button-> and it will bring up the bd/dvd video output format (hdmi) then press x again and change the automatic setting to RGB.

Or do a hard reset with your PS3. With the system off, press the power button and hold it down for a few seconds. This will reset ithe settings and sync it up to your TV.

Let me know if this helps.
