Help with an external DVD writer.

I do a lot of traveling, as do my family, and my computer HDD is now packed with home movies. I would love to be able to write them to DVDs so I can show them off (because I'm a bit of a jackass like that ).

Unfortunately my computer does not have an internal DVD writer, so I'm going to need to buy one. Can anyone give me any advice based on past purchases (or just someone who is educated on the subject). I'm not looking for anything too fancy, just something that will be capable of writing various video formats to DVDs that can be watched on a DVD player as any other DVD can. (Something compatible with DVD+RW would be nice, I have a load of them left over from when I would use my old computer). It doesn't have to be particularly stylish, just simple to use.

Thats the same Samsung, and overclockers are a great company for parts, cheaper as well
