Henry Gyrich?

I was just watching this movie on FX tonight and at the end, on the video where Mystique is speaking as Senator Kelly, I could have sworn that I heard the reporter say "Henry Gyrich" at least twice.

Am I hearing things or was this actually in the script?

No, that was Henry Gyrich. It was a nod to the fans.

The reporter says he was found dead. Mystique was posing as him when she got in the helicopter with the Senator.

The TV report says also that his body was mauled by a bear (= Sabretooth, probably).

Wow, you guys are slow, the henry gyrich thing was noticeable when i watched it in the cinema...



I thought this was a thread about trying to involve him in x4 and i was just about to come in and tell you all he's obviously dead and got killed by mystique.

MAGNETO'S ISLAND LAIR
Kelly: 'What have you done to Henry'
Magneto: 'I'm afraid Mr Gyrich has been dead for some time Senator. I've had Mystique here take his place. She takes so many shapes'


Then the news bulletin at the end, where 'Kelly' clutches at his wound and Mystique's eyes flash yellow for an instant, is followed by the news reader saying: 'In related news, the body of the Senator's long-time aide Henry Gyrich was found today. Sources say it appeared to have mauled by a bear' or words to that effect. The 'bear' was obviously Sabretooth.
