Heroes Who Should Turn Bad...

They did that not too long back, it was pretty much just as badass as you would hope for it to be.

Yeah but he should be a permanent bad guy. DC really does have sucky villians. They have the most overpowered heroes on one team taking on guys that Spidey could probably beat alone. You have Superman, MM, GL, Flash and Batman vs. the Joker?! The only villian that can probably truly challenge them is Darkseid and he gets his ass whooped by the JLA constantly now. They just need a good bad guy and honestly, there isn't any really in the DC universe.

Bishop. Before he fought against the team of Storm breifly, and he looks just silly running around with that team with a popgun. To me he had all the stigma of being this kick ass super villain, now he is just another part of the team, dummied down. I don't know, I mentioned this in another thread but Bishop should just run away, hook back up with Deathbird go back and kick the X-men's ass.

I always wondered what kind of damage Black Panther would reap upon the MU is he rent bad, the guy rules a nation.

Hard to do in Marvel because with maybe four exceptions the heroes are all stronger than the villians,.... and all the heroes have pretty ironclad reasons why they are the heroes.

I think I'd read Storm going bad,... in a Magneto sort of way.

I also think that Powerpack going Complete Juvviee would be worth reading.

but heh,... It's comics.

In the FF vs. X-Men crossover late '80s it was stated that Wolverine CAN in fact cut Mr. Fantastic. Unless Reed has become more durable or Logan lost some of his edge since then, this should still apply.

When they fought in Enemy of the State didn't Wolverine try and fail to cut Mr. Fantastic? Anyone know for sure, I don't have the issue in front of me.

What? No. The Martian Manhunter really, really does not need to be made a permanent bad guy.

The JLA have only fought the Joker when he's paired up with others or augmented to cosmic power levels lately. And they have no challenging villains other than Darkseid? Really? I guess Mageddon, Starro, the heroes of ancient Atlantis, the Queen of Fables, Amazo, the Bull Host of Heaven's angels, Dr. Destiny, and the Injustice Gang are just small potatoes, then.

Yeah! :cmad: Seriously............if you let someone who walked with you suddenly become your major enemy, THE major enemy, then you will have good stories for a long time plus someone who can challenge them all. Jonn Jonnz is almost as strong as Supes, almost as fast as the Flash, he's a psychic so he can read Bat's mind, a shapeshifter so.................he could really give the JLA fits if turned bad. Plus if you hear any JLA movie, he's ALWAYS the forgotten guy. Hell, I didn't even know who he was til the Justice League on Cartoon network had him on there.
Just saying. :o

So the fact that you're uninformed about one of the best parts of the Justice League means he should be a villain? Just use a white Martian if you really think J'onn would make such a great villain. They have all the same powers J'onn does and they're already evil.

Is J'onn still in the "original" Martian form with the conehead?

Not quite original, since the original Martian bodies are generally more frail; but yeah, he still has the pointy head, which I like. He also has a Skrull-chin, which I don't.

I like him better with the dome head and the red x suspenders.

I prefer the pointy head and, while I never gave it much thought before, his previous costume made him look like some kind of freaky S&M dominator. :(

It was silly, but most costumes are. I liked the aloof J'onn the best. The one who just kinda stood there with a box of Oreos until he was needed.

He works best as the guy who's always at the JLA's base, taking care of whatever needs to be done in the off time so the other heroes can have social lives. J'onn is basically the face of the JLA itself to me. If something JLA-related is going down, he'd most likely be there.

Yep, I agree. Back in the day, I viewed the Vision as having a similiar role with the Avengers.

I do, too. Until he melted down, anyway. Vision II seems to be taking on a similar role to his "father" in the Young Avengers, though. I'm looking forward to his one-shot.

Vision II is cool and all, but it's just not the same. I mean, I remember that issue of NA (the one with Magneto on the cover) where he tagged along and it just felt like a poor replacement.

No, I don't remember that NA. I wasn't reading it at the time. I almost did because I saw Vision II in it, but I decided my Bendis-hate was still too strong. I'm glad I didn't now.

No, he just didn't really do anything. The Avengers were dispatched to Genosha to take care of the Magneto/Collective thing, and he was one of the ones there. He was in, like, four panels total.

I know. Bendis took my money from me, just so I'd be able to tell you that. :down

You know what'd be a great teamup comic, like as a one-shot or a miniseries or something? Would be Martian Manhunter & Plastic Man.
