Hershey Kit Kat (USA) vs Nestle Kit Kat (International)

My personal favourite. The Chunky bar!

Yummo.

I tasted Hershey's chocolate a few months back for the first time and all I can say is to the Americans here, you have my sympathies.
I'm not American, but I like Hershey's.
Shes a decent judge.

It is because their chocolate contains less cocoa beans.

In the UK products have to legally contain at least 20% cocoa solids to be called Chocolate but in the U.S it is only 10% cocoa.

Most chocolate connoisseurs would probably say that chocolate should have at least 40% cocoa. Everything with less than that should just be called candy.

I had no idea there was more than one version. I don't believe I've ever had the international ones so I can't say which I would prefer

OK, I confess they do have us beat in the variety category there.

The Banana Kit Kats from years back were ambrosia of the gods.

I saw this video on Youtube about this guy sampling a bunch of flavored varieties his friend sent him from Japan & it got me wanting to try some. Of course, I don't know anybody from over their, so out of luck. :csad:

You can buy them from importers although I couldn't direct you to any sites off hand.

They fell off a truck, that's the story.

I am a tad iffy about buying food off Amazon.

I've also found them being sold on EBAY, soooooooooooo tempting. :hmr:

I didn't think about Amazon but then some people are also (justifiably) concerned about buying something perishable like food from Amazon.

I bought Canadian candy once. But Canada is essentially USA Jr.

Canada is our bastard child that we take to Six Flags once a year and send a card with a ten spot in it.

I'd be concerned about buying food on Amazon if it were perishable, like chicken breasts or something, but I'd have no problems with candy.

Semi-perishable then. It can go bad faster than something that was canned or vacuum sealed but not readily susceptible to temperature fluctuations (like say melting into a gooey mess).
