All the times
That we were closed
I remember
These things the most
I've seen all our dreams
Come tumblin' down
I can't stay happy
Without you around

2)
Well, leavin' here, I'm just a raggedy hobo
Lord, I'm leaving here, I'm just a raggedy hobo
Well, that woman I'm in love with, Lord, she's got to go

3)
She was pretty
From New York City
I'm walkin' down that old fair lane
I'm in heat, i'm in love
But i just couldn't tell her so...

4)BONUS!
Well I look way down that lonesome road
Well I look way down that lonesome road
Way way down
Way way down
Way way down that lonesome road

I can't believe I don't have a clue... Next verse for each song please...

Wow, me too!

You guys are going to be surprised, especially number one, that was a top 40 pop hit.

I'll add lyrics in a sec...

1)
They say you stand
By your man
Tell me something
I don't understand
You said you loved me
And that's a fact
And then you left me
Said you felt trapped

Well,somethings you can explain away
But the heartache's with me till this day

did you stand by me
No,not at all
Did you stand by me
No way

All the times
That we were closed
I remember
These things the most
I've seen all our dreams
Come tumblin' down
I can't stay happy
Without you around

So alone i keep the wolves a bay
And there's only one thing i can say

2)
Oh, here it comes

Well **** take me on out of this town
****** Lord, take me on out of this town
Well, that woman I'm in love with, Lord, she's Memphis bound

Well, leavin' here, I'm just a raggedy hobo
Lord, I'm leaving here, I'm just a raggedy hobo
Well, that woman I'm in love with, Lord, she's got to go

Well, goodbye pretty mama, get yourself a money man
Goodbye, pretty mama, Lord, get yourself a money man
You take that ***** to Memphis
Lord, leave me if you can
Oh, take that ***** to Memphis
Lord, leave me if you can

3)
Well **** I met a dame
She rather handsome we kinda looked the same
Well she was pretty from New York City
I'm walkin' down that old fair lane
I'm in heat I'm in love
But I just couldn't tell her so

I said *** all night long
*** all night long
*** all night long
*** all night long
With a heave and a ho
But I just couldn't tell her so... no no no

Well get along
Sweet little woman get along
On your way get along
Sweet little woman get along
On your way
I'm in heat I'm in love
But I just couldn't tell her so... no no no

4)BONUS!
Well I look way down that lonesome road
Well I look way down that lonesome road
Way way down
Way way down
Way way down that lonesome road

I know that ***** will get'cha home
**** will get'cha home
****
****
**** will get'cha home... yeah

Well I thought I heard that church bell toll
I thought I heard that church bell toll
Told'chor lie
Told your lie
Told your lie somebody told me so... yeah

* CORRECT! I was going for the original version by The Clash, but Annie Lennox did indeed cover it.

2. train - train
No. This was done by a somewhat "Southern Rock" group with an "Indian" or rather "Native American" connection.

3. aerosmith - train kept a rollin
* YES! Originally done by the British rock group The Yardbirds, but best know as a show stopper by Aerosmith. For shame on you kbomb for missing this one! :(

4. aerosmith - back back train
* YEEEES! And the bonus one was quite obscure. The cover by Aerosmith was release only a few weeks ago on HoB. Original by the infamous Blues man Mississippi Fred McDowell based on a very early gospel. Note the clue in my sig!

Excellent Bloody Mary, you got 3 of 4! :)

So the last one that remains is this one. I'm sure some of you older southern rock fans will recognize it easily... think Molly Hatchet or Lynyrd Skynyrd...

*DING DING DING DING* YEEEESSS! :D

* Close enough, it is in fact "Train Train" by Black Foot!

And the theme then is songs with the word "TRAIN" in the title. One of the most prolific words in song titles of our times. ;)

OK! So... Bloody Mary *YOU* are up next. Unless someone else wants to go.

Pick three songs that have a common theme (Like they all have a certain word in the title) Post one section of lyrics from each of the songs (in a single post).

The poster that correctly identies a song or the theme gets a point of scoring - although we haven't tabulated the scores in a while... this game has been going on for a year or so... :)

Sorry, dude. I know a lot of music, but that song was just not on my list. Must be all the time I'm spending away from home lately. Speaking of which, I'm leaving for Ireland again tomorrow. I'll have less of an idea of what I'm talking about by the time I get back. :(
