Seeing a show by the Sesame Workshop that doesn't feature an annoying 20-minute Elmo's World segment sounds like a nice change of pace.

This show could work but I seriously doubt it. I can see them turning this into a "urban" show and just killing it for me.

I don't see how a show by the Workshop could get more urban than Sesame Street without resorting to bland & educational rap songs every 5 minutes. And if Sesame Street hasn't gone that far since the 1980s, I'm sure the new Electric Company won't do it.

Well TEC has that smooth cool guy, Morgan Freeman on there to educate the kids.......they'd need someone to replace him with or should I say "update" date him. What's cool and smooth these days? Gangsta rappers, pimps, and skinny jeans......and I just can't see a skinny jeans guy being the regular on there.

Man!! i dont see this working at all and why do they have to mess with a Classic. Kids dont want to be educated while watching television. The thing about the original series was that you didn't realize you were being schooled. you just thought it was cool. Plus the fact that there wasn't alot of distractions or to watch back then so Electric Company was one of the cool things that at that time. A kid would rather play legos batman than watch easy reader now.Plus as cheesy as it was nothing will ever beat Spiderman nobody's knows who you are!That *&^%$ was the bomb! i give it a month.

Most people my age loved them some freaking Muppet babies and Transformers, and He-Man, and even JEM (I mean come on, that show was outrageous. Truly, truly outrageous.) I look at stuff like Power Rangers and think, it was utter crap. Wanna be Vultron with bad acting is all it was. And the people that grew up with Power Rangers look at stuff like this current Batman: Brave and the bold or shows like Chowder or Ben Ten and think that's utter crap. At some point, we all become crotchety old fogies. Therefore I say, who gives a Weirdo poop what you think!?!?! Muppet babies was teh awesome!

I was one of the kids who grew up on Power Rangers, but I've got to admit that Ben 10 is pretty good, along with maybe 2 other new shows for kids.


Also, Japan's "Ranger" shows predate Voltron by about 10 years (GoRanger came out in 1975). It just so happens that we didn't start adapting them in English until 1993. Our first Ranger show (Mighty Morphin') was adapted from Japan's sixteenth Ranger show (ZyuRanger).
