High Moon working on possibly the FIRST movie tie in that doesn't suck?

I'm with Pat, although I also agree that the decepticons aren't clearly defined enough. They seem quite generic compared to the auto bots

Bottom line is this: Aside from a few stragglers here and there... once every few years or so... movie games suck. It's a fact. The ones that don't aren't really based on the movie... maybe loosely.

This is a "movieverse" based game being developed by a developer that already proved that they know their Transformers and could easily be the best movie tie in game of all time.

*ahem*

What made War for Cybertron good was how much it resembled G1. Since there will be no nostalgia factor I doubt this will be as good.

The TF:ROTF game wasn't that bad. I mainly wanted to get it for the multiplayer. But it was much better than the first game. Although, like stated before, only few movie games have worked.

I'm currently still on WFC and aside from the overall look, the gameplay is pretty solid as well. So I guess now we'll be able to have 3 different forms, which could be good or bad. I just hope I can still change quickly from car to autobot form without that "armored car" form getting in the way.

I'll be sure to keep an eye out for this game, though.

Spider-Man 2, Wolverine, those ring a bell?

Hmmmm kind of.... But why?..............Oh that's right, because they've already been mentioned several times one page over.

I really enjoyed ROTF and I loved War for Cybertron. I'm assuming they're bringing that same gameplay from War into this game so it should at least be quite fun because that is what made the last game for me not the nostalgia factor since I was born after the cartoon.

Shockwave looks pretty cool, speaking of which in the movie he's going to show Megatron how it is done.

The Wolverine game didnt suck. I mean it wasnt great but it didnt suck.

But i agree, High Moon knows how to handle Transformers. I mean I hated War for Cybertron, but thats only because i hate the old 80's look of the Transformers. So with their gameplay, behind Michael Bays far superior designs, i think this could be a deff buy.

WOAH!?!?!

That's some crazy stuff right there.

King KOng and the chronicles of riddick are tie ins that everybody should know, as they're as good as other great stand alone games.

Haha yea i hear that a lot. Im sure people wouldnt feel the same if they were exposed to the Bay-Formers first. People just think the G1 models look better because thats what they knew prior.

I've said I know them. King Kong was crap, IMHO and Riddick was over rated. I didn't get a chance to play it on the original Xbox... just the remake. Maybe that has something to do wit it.

I wouldnt put King Kong in that discussion as that wasnt a very good title, but Riddick, being overrated is a bit ludicrous. It had everything you needed in a Riddick adventure, hell it was better than both films.

I liked both films but didn't care for the game(s) at all. Again, maybe they botched the remake or whatever... but I found it to be annoying.

Very true, also I know IGN wasn't too fond of it, but I found Wanted: Weapons of Fate enjoyable, easy as hell though :o

So did anyone pick this game up today?

I just bought it and have been playing it for the last hour. Pretty fun so far. It plays extremely similar to War for Cybertron. I havent tried out the multiplayer yet, which is really the main reason i bought it.

Also, Nolan North is in the game and i dont mean just his voice, the dude is actually a character in the game. He's playing some army general or something.

Also the thread title can prob be changed.

Its good to hear that its fun and that its like wfc. Im hoping to get it later today.

Well if ya get it for the 360 and plan on playing online, let me know and we'll have to party up.

This game looks like crap.

It looks and plays better than the last one. The SP is pretty straight forward. I havent tried the MP yet, which will make or break the game for me, but the game plays well and looks fairly good for a movie tie in.

I actually enjoyed the Revenge of the Fallen game, I thought it was decent. War for Cybertron was fantastic and this looks to be a combination of the two.

I'm pretty sure Riddick was the first game. or at least first person game, use to developer commentry.
This is a cool feature that generally more worth playing a game over than those silly achievements things. So I guess you could argue it was not only a good movie game but quite innovative.
