High School Musical needs to die!

I knew you must have been 80s, see you had to be there with Power Rangers in their prime. It was a hit for a reason. Looking back at it, yeah- it wasn't the best. But, as I said- you had to be there in it's prime and at the right age. Back then the Power Rangers were great and still have that nostalgia charm to it. Just like your random shows had to you guys in the late 80s, early 90s... had to you pegged for 8-10 at the time.

Other points:

1. Disney has definitely gone done in animation department on TV, 90s had:

- Doug
- Bonkers
- Tail Spin
- Darkwing Duck

Etc. All great remaining to classic form cartoons with that Disney tone to them.

What happened to the cartoons of old? It seems like past a certain date in either late 90s or early millenia it all turned to crap seemingly.

2. WTF is Cheetah Girls? I'm guessing for a lot of guys on here the prime nostalgia Disney film is: My Date with the President's Daughter

the disney afternoon is what it was called i think. duck tales, DW, chip and dale's rescue rangers, goof troop. all of those were gold. and yes disney has latley lost its soul.
what the **** is the cheetah girls? HSM??? these are so painfull. its almost like disney is trying to resurect the mouse club but under a different name. they must want another justin, christina, brittney thing. eeech. i wish they would just go back to what made them great.

on a side question. i understand that you have a modicum of affection for power rangers. so i will give the venom a rest, but may i make fun of "tattooed teenage alien fighters from beverly hills"? remember that crap it lasted 4 episodes and was sooooooo bad.

Don't even remember that.

Loved Goof Troop, forgot the name of the show. Just watched the film the other day. Still classic.

Another classic Disney show, late 90s early millenia, possibly one of the last good Disney shows: The Famous Jett Jackson.

Never heard of em'. More or less the live action shows I remember:

- Goosebumps
> Pinball/ Video game episode (or was that an 'Are you afraid of the dark?' episode?)
> The mask episode (girl gets green mask)
- Are you afraid of the dark?
- Pete and Pete
- Saved by the bell
- Boy Meets World
- Growing Pains
- Power Rangers
- Famous Jett Jackson
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (only on for 1-2 seasons)
- Erkel and anything else from the ABC lineup.

i loved pete and pete
i also watched
parker lewis can't loose
and
salute your shorts

Don't know those dude. Think my start of remembering was around 93'/94' sometime... I was born in 88'.

Definitely not 'Hey Dude' lol. Ended when I was 3 and never saw repeats.

Yeah I've seen Wonder Years, but that show had alot of repeats for years to come. So, I caught the repeats.

hey not that i mind but when did this become a "hey remember that show" thread.
know what show I miss?
Exosquad. it was one of the last cartoons that i thought was as cool as GI Joe.

Yeah, I was never a Disney Channel kid. I mostly watched Disney Channel for repeats of the Disney Afternoon line-up a/k/a DuckTales, Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, etc. And, I also watched for repeats of old shows like the `50s Zorro. I loved that show!

But, aside from that I was never really a Disney channel kid. Back in the late `80s I liked watching CBS, NBC, and ABC. And, in the `90s it was all about Fox Kids and Nickelodeon.

One of the posts that started it all. :cwink:
