Highlander!

But the Kurgan himself has never received an official age?

Wait. I just checked. He was born in 1005 BC, and was 2990 years old when he died.

I think that Ramirez says that the Kurgan lived 4000 years ago or about 4500 years from our perspective. Ramirez was 2400 and a few odd years old at the time of his death.

The bio I read said that The Kurgan was about 200 years older than Ramirez. Of course, it might not have been acurate. It was Wikipedia, after all.

Maybe Ramirez was talking about the Kurgans as a tribe rather than the Kurgan himself.

Kurgan was always reffered to as the "oldest of the immortals".

In the Highlander book he's been around for 5000-6000 years if I remember well

Didn't the show displace that by making Methos the oldest living immortal, who'd been whispered about but never seen for centuries? Although, I guess, he could've inherited the title from the Kurgan after the Kurgan died.

I think he may be older than Kurgan.

Even though the Kurgan was never the chatty guy. He will goat about raping your mom in your face, but will never have a discussion about his childhood.

Well, he did have daddy issues, but he got over them. Mainly because his father was responsible for his first death, and in retaliation, The Kurgan force fed him a glowing hot stone.

Interesting...(begins writing in To-Do list).

Uh, never mind me...carry on...I've got...things to do.

Where's that mentioned?

Not sure. I'm assuming it was in the TV series. I read it on his online bio.

I don't recall any biographical material on the Kurgan ever being given on the TV series or the movies other than what Ramirez says in the first movie.

I hope you guys are right about the highlander show I should have disc 1 and 2 of the first season from netflix later next week if its good I might buy it.

Season 1 will be a little rough. They were still working out the prodution values and special effects. By mid-season 2 and 3 the show was running smoothly and the best stuff was coming out.

Plus, you've gotta put up with Tessa all through season 1. I couldn't stand her for some reason.

The Highlander was the greatest show ever made. I have all the seasons on DVD and never get tired of it. The sword fighting was awesome. Adrian Paul could act circles around Lambert. I didn't know The End Game did well enough to warrant another Highlander movie but I am happy anyway. Duncan will be the only one!!!

Well im watching disc 2 the second episode is pretty bad with the fight being a music video. Hope the show gets better these episodes are horrible in every way.

Just get past the first season. Improves by leaps and bounds and beheadings.

Highlander had a rough time getting its footing. The first season was hellish, the second had a handful of good episodes, the third season had a majority of good episodes but no real stand-outs, and then, in the fourth and fifth seasons, it crystalized into its best form, thanks to the increased roles of Joe Dawson and Methos, more appearances from Amanda and Fitz, a greater willingness to let the characters' relationships move the episodes rather than plot twists, and far more complex situations and villains than the cookie-cutter evil immortal-of-the-week scenario that the first two seasons relied on so heavily.

Then, of course, it all went to hell in the fifth season's finale and the sixth season was just pitifully bad until the last three episodes. :(

Disc 3 wasn't that bad except for mountain man that had a horrible villian.

Haha, yeah, the Beastmaster as an immortal with the worst voice ever doesn't really make a great villain. Still, I liked his axe. It's a shame more immortals didn't use axes.
