'Hitman' Script Review

The script sounds great, still not sure about Vin Diesel as 47 though.

I'm not sure about Vin Diesel as 47 (though I think he can be a decent actor depending on the movie and role), or the fact that the story (based on the limited info in the review) seems to be completely made up for the movie instead of being based on the stories from the games to some degree. But we'll have to wait and see I guess... it does sound good though... a cold blooded, harder version of the Bourne movies.

Not sure. It'd probably help if you had a tad bit more detail on what it is you remember...

Its no big deal I am just saying I thought I remember seeing one a long while back and I am pretty sure it had a grade by it. I don't read reviews though cause I try not to spoil myself. I love the games though I hope they don't **** up the movie. Vin Diesel seems kind of too obvious. I would like to see someone who is not cast because of their baldness.

Sounds awesome, and until I see a trailer with Vin as 47 I'm not gonna judge the casting that hardcore. If he doesn't pull off the emotionless personality and calmness I'm gonna be upset.

I think Vin Diesel seems obvious in the same way that Patrick Stewart seems obvious... that is (like you said) his similarity to the character is related to him being bald. Baldness is a factor that shouldn't matter in the slightest, since an actor who is dedicated to the role would simply shave his head for it...
Beyond that, I think Vin Diesel's just too muscular for the part... among other things. But hey... like Master Chief, I'm not gonna judge the casting "hardcore" quite yet. But on first glance it is a disappointment...

I'm still not sold with Vin as 47, his features are to soft. 47 has a hard, angular like face.

But as long as they remember he's a silent assasin and not a proprane tank hunter then I'll still be looking forward to it.

I've never see anything to indicate Bateson is even an ok actor... not saying he isn't, but based on the very limited knowledge of his acting ability I'd think twice about casting him in the lead for the movie. They should definately have given him an audition though...

The script sounds interesting. I like the way he's set-up the opening, as 47 killing someone with finesse over firestorms. I'll definately see it.

But isn't that kinda like casting Brandon Routh as another cape dressed superhero, or casting Pierce Brosnan as another fancy suit bearing, martini swiggin' secret agent? I mean, Statham's character in the transporter pretty much looks exactly like Agent 47...

Well I haven't seen Transporter but I watched Italian Job that's where I saw him from.

Yeah his character in the Transporter is not a very long leap to Agent 47. Him and Diesel are just too obvious. Like if they weren't bald guys I don't even think their names would even be brought up.

But Agent 47's appearance was based on David Bateson, who's the voice too.

But shyeah, Statham would rule as Agent 47. He has the right build and right look and right mannerisms for the role.
