A guilty pleasure of a film.

This film is an absolute cheese classic. One of the last sexy genre films of the 90s. I don't care if did come out in the 00's, it absolutely belongs in the 90s.

Kevin Bacon has not been this good on film since.

Elisabeth Shue. :hrt:

Also, my first introduction to Rhona Mitra.

Any film where you don't see Kevin Bacon is a good to me. :awesome: :hehe:

Kevin Bacon! One of the greatest of all Kevins!

Tremors was better though.

This was one movie where I really wanted the psycho killer to win because the heroes were a bunch of boring idiots.

I saw this movie so many times back in the early 2000's. Kevin Bacon is just too damn entertaining.

I also didn't realize it was directed by Paul Verhoeven until recently.

Tremors is a classic b movie. I thought Kevin Bacon was good , but like Rowsdower I was rooting for him to get away with everything.

Very underrated film and Kevin Bacon was awesome. One of my favorite Kevin Bacon movies but I also prefer Tremors

I saw this movie in cinemas. I haven't seen it since.

This movie is the most expensively produced street trash. Just an awful film all around.

Kevin bacon was great and his slide from sane to insane was handled well. However brolin and the rest of the cast were just so dull and not very bright, almost dumb enough to the point you question why would bacon have them working with him in the first place.

Being a 'Hollow Man', does he get healed up like Wolverine and gained superhuman strength? Because he's naked right? And he gets into rights, gets burnt by fire, and it doesn't stop him.

Yeah that title doesn't make much sense since he's affected by physical objects. The movie should have been called Transparent Man.

Hated the ending.
Loved the movie for the VFX.

Also this movie needed more nudity. Why Elisabeth SUe kept her clothes on...

Man, back in the day the effects for this movie were so dope. I loved this when I was a kid. It was years before I even realized Josh Brolin was in it.

He's called hollow man, because as the gif shows, he looks hollow on the inside after they pour the latex on him.

It can also have a spiritual meaning as well. Despite the character supposedly being a brilliant scientist, even before the experiment he is a petty, childish voyeur, and the experiment strips back whatever civilizing traits he had and makes him nothing more than a monstrous collection of all his most sociopathic and malicious impulses.

But seriously, is he suppose to be so crazy that he can't feel pain when he's butt naked in the grand finale?

Speaking of invisible man movies, my personal favorite was Memoirs of an Invisible Man. Chevy Chase was but funny and sympathetic as the hero, Darryl Hannah was hot as hell back in the day, and Sam Neill played a great villain. Effects were really good for their time too.

I love this movie. It's one my ultimate guilty pleasures. Overall, its pretty meh, but Bacon so damn good in it.
