Hot Rod

It looks funny, but another side of me is just not interested.
I'll more than likely pass on this one.

The trailer is pretty funny, mainly the truck jump at the beginning, but the movie itself looks pretty stupid.

How could anyone find this funny?

Saw this trailer in front of Hostel 2. The movie itself got more laughs than the trailers for this, Evan Almighty, License to Wed and two godawful movies starring Ben Stiller and Dane Cook.

Anyone remember when comedies were funny?

Rush Hour 3 will definitely be the comedy event of the year, if it does beat Knocked Up.

Aww...

You don't like the Rush Hour movies? :csad:

*cries*

it was sad, twenty seconds into the trailer, they clearly ripped off family guy with the whole "Wh-ip" thing. That got me almost automatically uninterested in this Will Farrell knock off.

It's a gag that got stale not long after the first one.

And it was at its funniest in Shanghai Noon, which benefited from a complete lack of the one-two brain punch of Ratner and Tucker.

I almost felt embarrassed for it. It's like a comedian who's not Carlin trying to pull off "7 words you can't say on TV" and thinking no one will notice. (Extreme example; I wouldn't particularly compare Carlin to Family Guy in legendary status, but you get my point).

My first thought was "I wish they could sue". Hell, I wish I could sue for being forced to watch 2 minutes of this movie.

I could have had the chance to see it at a Festival, but my friends decided to ditch out on it last minute.

The Lonely Island makes some great short films (which is why they got hired for SNL in the first place), but I'm not looking forward to a full length movie. Their comedy works better in small doses. Also, that trailer sucked.
