in as much as i love hot rod/rodimus, i don't think we'd actually get to see him in the sequels. i'm thinking that prime's flame detailing was already a nod in HR/RP's direction, so having the latter on the sequels would make him look redundant to prime--unless they'd do away with the flame detailing with either one of them if they would ever put rod in the sequels. in this case, i couldn't imagine rod without all those flames. on the other hand, prime definitely looks much cooler with that detailing on IMHO.
