I thought they had cancelled their plans after the movie, but I guess this is the start of their Watchmen line.

Why start with Laurie, though?

A strange choice of character to start with considering the popularity of characters like Rorschach, Manhattan and Comedian, but they probably wanted to begin with a character who DC Direct have not released in 1/6 scale. I hope that they make an Ozymandias. A Hot Toys Ozymandias would be amazing.

If they are cutting the line short because the movie performed poorly--does it not make sense to start with Rorschach?

It's not like HT has any real competition. The DC direct version was garbage.

Its usually considered to do "poor" when its domestic revenue doesnt exceed the production budget. It has been tossed around that it didnt do as well as Warner wanted (They just had TDK and I think they where expecting to much)
