Hot Toys vs. Takara vs. Medicom Batman 1/6 figure

Ok, Mods, if this is already on another forum, I apologize, you can move at will.

I would like to find out which one is best, based on three things: detail, cape, accessories.

Before I go out and by one of these I want to know which one has the best detail, which one has a wired cape (for posing [this is probably my single biggest deciding factor]), and which one has the best hand sets and accessories. If anyone could give me info, that'd be great, I've looked, but I can't tell, though I'm pretty sure the HT one does not have a wire cape...bummer...

I have both the Takara and Hot Toys Batman Begins figures. Neither one come with a wired cape and I don't think Medicom does either. For what you are looking for it's close between those two. With Takara you have two figures in one. One being Batman and one being Bruce Wayne in his black ninja outfit. The cape on the Takara is bigger but the Hot Toys has better hands and weapons so it's a toughy for you. I guess it was for me and that's why I have both.

I'm not too interested in Bruce, as I really want a nice looking poseable batman that I can place on a desk or something. Do you know anything about the "New Suit" figures?

I know the Hot Toys one looks awesome, I saw it at SDCC. It is very impressive but no wire cape.

I don't know how this person slipped a metal wire up the Takara cape edge. As its a sealed end, but they done something. Since the cape is way too soft to do anything like that.

The cape is so light and flexible on the Takara, that you can pull off such nice natural poses with the cape. It's a little see through but only if you have it up close to a bright light.

There is some issues with the Takara, one it attracts dust. Two don't go doing crazy complex poses like knees up to the chest where the rubber can stretch/tear...

To be honest I'd go with the Hot Toy's new version of the original suit.

the hot toys batman by far looks the best. the cowl looks the most accurate, the bale likeness is 100% better. the takara figure doesnt stand a chance against the hot toys one.

sadly the thing is, the MEDICOM batman, and only that is the best. look at the hot toys closely. its cool from the waste up, because the legs have no actual armor. its just a molded rubber pant, and compared to the medicom batman, which has full armor with no corners cut, and because the size proportions are perfect, IMO makes it the Supreme figure. the medicom jokers another story though hahah

Did you look at the pictures of peoples photos for the Takara I linked to? It's a stunning piece.

I agree about the new head sculpts from Hot Toy's. You should read the reviews though on the Takara how its has better articulation than the Hot Toy's.

We are talking Batman Begins, not the new dark knight suit version that you have linked to. However, all the medicom's are midgets. They are at least an inch smaller than Hot Toy's and Takara.

i think ppl are only saying they like "blank company figure" because they own it and dont want to buy another one. personally, the cowl a suit on the takara batman dont look that great because his body is too thin and the cowl is too toyish and small, not as accurate. the hot toys one, just looks more accurate and has the "teh puffy" ness the begins suit actually had. only thing i think is probably better about the takara batman is the cape, i like the thinner more flowy cloth cape.

Are the Takara figures actual 1/6 collectibles? I can't seem to find them anywhere on the internet to look at pictures. Could anyone provide me a link please? I would like to see these being that many like the work done on them.

Not true. I didn't own it, when I done some research, the reviews it got was really something. Hence why it made me want to get it, plus its two figures in one. Not only that, the nice accessories it comes with.

That I am planning to do once the new original Hot Toy's version arrives. Convert the Takara to the first night out as Batman without the cape. The pictures honestly doesn't do it justice. Well actually some do.

Yes, it does indeed.

only thing i think is probably better about the takara batman is the cape, i like the thinner more flowy cloth cape.

It is also thiner because the poses that it can pull off that the Hot Toy's cannot. The feet are so much better on the Takara than the Hot Toy's because once again the poses, but as the reviews have stated, each version has its goods and bad.

Thats why some bought both I had read. Like myself

Yes, you have to be careful with poses so you don't tear the rubber. I mean if you were to buy it, don't go posing it in tight positions like:

the new hot toys figure looks alot better than there first try (one reason i have hope for joker resculpt down the road) and the improvements medicom made are also better than their first attempt.

my biggest issue with the takara is that the rubber used for the suit is rather cheap and some have already started to crack and dry out. that and the cape is much flimsier than either of the other two which have great long billowing capes.

if i had to choose one i would go with the newer medicom i think.

Any pictures of the newer medicom? because those old pictures of it look like a toy, plus he is a midget.

The ears just look all wrong. The legs look too rigid that would give the impression the knees wont bend. The feet also look like it's wearing Frasier Cranes clown feet.

Each to his own I guess.
