hello, i'm here review the medicom carnage because there seems to be a serious lack of reviews on this guy and any real photos of someone who owns one. i might continue to do medicom figure reviews or reviews of high grade figures in general. if anyone has any medicom figures they'd like to post reviews up of along with pics, feel free to chime in. I have a few more pics if anyone wants to see them, i couldn't post them in this post because i was only limited to 7 pics.
First things first- the sculpt. this guy looks amazing, period. He stands 12 inches tall. he is spot on with the comics. his hands and feet come with tendrels attacthed to them (which can not be removed). the tendrels wrap around his legs and arms. his hands look like freddy cuggers knife glove, they look perfect. outside of the hands and head there isn't much more of a sculpt since the body is covered with a body suit, which by the way looks great. the body suit is awesome, probably the only way to make the figure look as none toyish and plastic as possable. the body suit works and works well, anyone worried about the seems shouldn't be, they are hardly noticable, medicom did a great job hiding the seems in the black spots of the suit.
Paint aps- well the paint aps are perfection. no over sprays or anything of the sorts. his eyes are a shiny white, base color of the head is red with the black streaming out from around the eyes. this is the same with the hands and feet.
Poseability- i don't know how much articulation he has, but it is alot, maybe 20 points, maybe more. he can probably hold any pose you want him too. i've taken a few pics to show his range of motion.
acceries- his acceries are pretty much 2 sets of hands. he has his normal hands and then he has a whip like tendrel and an axe. Both of these are awesome but the tendrel is a little heavy so it's a little loose in its joint. he also comes with a display stand, which is not needed to pose the figure.
packaging- I really don't care about packaging one way or the other, it's the figure that counts. but the packaging is big. about 7 inchs wide and about 15 inches tall. the front has a flap that opens up to reveal a window and shows off the figure in the box. the box has a few images of carnage out of the comics.
overall- A+ this is a must have for any fan of carnage, this is the figure we've always wanted, carnage has never looked better and probably never will. I paid 122 dollars with shipping for this guy, not a bad deal considering medicom only made 1000 of these figures, so the price is going to be steep. but the price is no big deal to me considering that's what i paid for the hot toys alien figure pictured with carnage in some of the photos and i've paid hundreds more for other figures. i've heard people say that medicoms figures seem fragile but this figure seems like everything but fragile. if you are wondering where you can get this guy besides ebay, the only place i could find him is at darkfigures.com they shipped him on monday and he came on thursday (today). in closing, if you love carnage just as much as I do, you'll treat yourself to this figure, by far the best carnage figure ever made.
