I just finished reading Avengers Diassembled and House of M TBPs. And the end of House of M felt like they were setting up thier escape clause. Wada was still alive and there was that strange energy surge. Like she could reset everything back if need be.

Will Civil War end up being another one of Wanda's Illusions?

Who knows? Could be... That's the beauty of the comic book universe, anything can happen. Obviously "the collective" has a strong tie in. Perhaps when he is ultimately defeated (hopefully in a one on one with the Sentry - god I would love to see that!) all powers will be released and undo everything Wanda did and also erase all the events leading up to Civil War.

the strange energy seen at the end of House of M is currently being dealt with in New Avengers, it doesn't have anything to do with Civil War

And the New Avengers are the focal point of Civil War. How do you figure one is going to have nothing to do with the other? Also, I can't for the life of me remember when it was said, but the current head of s.h.i.e.l.d even mentions the whole House of M affair when talking about the registration act.

because the energy has collected and bound itself to a person and is calling itself Michael, and the Avengers are in the middle of fighting him. That doesn't have anything to do with Civil War.

But it was the events that lead up to Civil war. Just watch the further the story goes the more you'll see the conection.

No, the Nitro incident really jump started Civil War. Of course the NA are connected to both thier title and Civil War, but the two arcs won't be connected. Not in any way I can see. I think the current NA arc is the last 'hurrrah' from HOM. at least for a while. I do want to see how the arc finishes, but it being DIRECTLY connected or the cause of Civil War, no. :xmen:

Should Marvel try to connect them? Sort of like how DC is going from one crisis to another, and they sort of seem connected, or should Marvel let them be random problems?

Marvel SHOULD, but they won't. Continuity makes Joey Q. cry.

Next summer: Civil War 2: The Retcon Strikes Back.

I'm aware of Michael. Mark my words... They will tie in!
