Houston Teen Killed at 'Project X' Inspired Party

Eh, it's not surprising, that's for sure...but they didn't think that things would go wrong...AT ALL?! Things go wrong in the movie I'm sure!

They should make a movie about idiots killing themselves, then we won't have to worry about copycats because they'll be doing the world a favor.

When you're 25 and younger, you think you're invincible.

It sounds to me like these weren't just some irresponsible idiots. When you point a gun at people and fire, you know what's going to happen.

****. All that's going through my mind right now is how to feel about this and what others involved with the film must be feeling about it. Seems really confusing and like a nightmare almost. Are we or anyone involved partly to blame? Are we not to blame in any way? Should we feel more than other people do about this? Should we feel the same as others do about this? It's just like being hit by something really terrible suddenly and not knowing how to react. I was only a little involved in the film and I'm feeling out of sorts and know some of the main guys behind it and can only guess what they're going through. And they're really cool nice guys. Mentors to me kind of. So, I won't be laughing about it. It's just... really hard to process.

Make a better movie next time.

No...if you invent the gun then you aren't responsible for idiots that use it.

Seems the target demographic liked it. Not for everyone. My friends and I enjoyed it also. And yeah, no it was the teen's fault - even though it was still weird to process, as said, it was an odd mix of emotions. Like "wtf happened?"

This is why I stay at home responsibly and write novels. Freaking morons

Novels are just as "dangerous" at influencing morons - one school shooter said a Steven King book inspired him to do it. Then of course Steven King felt somewhat guilty at himself and stopped the book from being printed. :whatever:

I've never heard of killer furries. I think Sentinel is okay. No offense intended toward your work, Sentinel. :yay:

That actually sounds like awesome B rated horror comedy movie lol. Just throw in some killer furbies and you've got a cult favorite. :woot:

Woah woah woahwoahwoahwowowowowo....WOAH!!

it's a fantasy novel. Ergo, cannot be replicated and anyone who tries is just as stupid as the kids who threw that party.

:woot:

People who say the media influenced their behaviors are just copping out. If you read something or see something on TV and wonder what it would be like to do those things, it's only natural.

But to do them, and expecting no consequences to occur is stupid. Did someone in the movie fire a gun into a crowd as part of the story?

Steven King is a reactionary ***** then.

The most famous example of a novel influencing someone is Mark David Chapman and 'Catcher in the Rye'.

Eh, I dunno. It wasn't exactly a well known, popular, or good book, it was published under his pseudonym, and it was linked to at least 3 shootings. I don't think saying "alright, let's just stop making more" at that point is that big of a cop out.

Actually I take that back. Of course the most famous book that influenced people to kill other people is the Bible (and the Koran too).
