Say I have

Forcasted Sales - Acual Sales =Diference
$5000 - $3200 = $1800

How would I calculate the parcentage change of the difference over the forcasted sales?

I completely forgot which formula to use.

I'm not giving you the answers to your homework.

nm, got it, its not for homework, Im sorting all the stuff I sell right now.

5000/100=50

50*64=3200

3200 is 64% of 5000.....

69 is the answer, or is it 42?

Figure it out your damn self.

Edit: Or, what he said.

With some of the questions posed at times, I'm convinced some people think the Hype is the only website in existence.

% Change would be, in this case:

(Actual - Expected) / Expected

Therefore:

(3200 - 5000) / 5000

-1800 / 5000 = -36%

Oh sweet juice math rules.
I really wish I could have continued it. :csad: I don't need any more math, and my class-schedule really won't allow for it. I had to stop after infinite series' and sequences (Calculus).

I avoid this by never forecasting sales. There may be a 9/11, or you may have a fire.
If I sell something, then I sold it.

Wilhelm would make a right good philosopher.

...also, we should all have our teeth extracted and only eat porridge and yogurt.
We'd have no more dentist bills for the rest of our lives.

And we can stop walking so we never stub our toes!:up:

Floating toothlessly in personal helium suits, never making sales forecasts

I wish I got into it earlier. I tossed my grade 9 math class, then grudgingly got through that class again and did 10, now I'm in my senior year and taking 11 math and holy frik I love it all of a sudden, Not cool. :csad:
