How do you costumize an action figure?

Thanks,
I didn't want to waste my time buying or looking for something that turned out to be garbage when there was an official type of wire to be used.

And thanks for the clay stuff.

Artistsean - Are you going to post picks of your creation when it's done???

I'm currently painting my Hulkbuster War Machine and he seems to be coming out pretty damn good so far. My only complaint is getting into the nooks and cranies of this massive figure since I couldn't boil and pop him.

Before I post pics, since its my own character, I am going to get it copyrighten. Then I have to finish it, which will take me a while to complete it.

But once I do finish it, and have a copyright for the character, I will post it definately along with my drawing of the character to show how it came out in comparison and who its based on.

Are you going to post yours?

Yeah, I'm going to go buy a digital camera tomorrow and take some work in progress pics.

Why do they have a menu within a menu for product? When you click product it takes you to the superhero product but there is nothing else in there to click.
Was there once another catagory? Like non-superhero product? Just wondering.

Looks like my painting action figures, or painting the one action figure, is on hold for a while. I need to focus on more pressing matters.
So who knows when I'll finish, but when I do I'll post the pics.

Can someone explain in great detail how to use super glue to keep the paint from being scraped off the joints?
On the figure I have been working on, everytime I move the joints at all, the paint is scraped off.

You have to sand down the joint a mm or so. Than paint it, and then coat it with superglue. If you don't sand down the joints, there's goig to be to much friction in the joints.

So what about a toy like this, where the joints allow for circular movement?
When you sand it down do you have to take it apart?
and
what if you have already painted it, is there any way to save it?

If you already painted it, I would leave it as it is. If you bought a good brand of paint and administered a few thin layers of paint it'll hold up.

My custom aren't that difficult.
Here's one I'm working on now:

Needs another layer of yellow and non glossy clear coating.

Here's the look I'm going for:

And I want the cape to look like he's holding it up, infront of his face.

well, I'm done with the action figure of my very own character, except for the cape.
I'll post it when I can.

This is not the final cape, I'm still not sure how I'll handle that.

I see, that looks cool. I am not up to that yet. But I did finish my other one and when I can I'll post pics. I have also started another, yes they are addictive, but I have only painted his head pretty much. I wont finish it till later.
