How do you define authority?

Interesting topic, we need more of the these types of threads. but i think some people abuse thier power. like in jobs. where you have to do what your boss & your co-workers say. & if you don't or don't do the job right, or don't catch on fast enough in thier standards,

then you loose your job. i allways hated people in jobs that have power & authority. they continue to abuse it eveyday.
