How do you organize your collections and keep track of your wishlists? Do you use a spreadsheet or a program?

I've been using Comic Collector Live. It works great (and it's free!!).

Just wondering what other folks are doing?

Spread sheets.

Tis the way of the thrifty College student.

I have one for each of the two main companies, the rest I thrown in a 'misc' spreadsheet with the comic companies name listed.

I list name, number, special, author(s), artist(s), & colorist(s)

*potentially wrong forum as well, I believe Misc Comics might even have a thread on this already*

*shrugs*

Because they haven't been merged into one and stuck into Misc Comics?

I created a Visual Basic program that organizes them for me in a database. All I put in is the Title and number, Date it came out, volume number and Company who makes them. I can do searches on any of them too. It's a nice little program.

Why does this thread exist in 3 forums?

Sorry about that. Just wanted to get different viewpoints. I know some collectors who read only DC and won't have anything to do with Marvel and vice versa.

Sweet! Sounds like a good bit of work on your part. Do you track your wishlist stuff too?

Hmm..not that I know of.

<--has a Mac.

You might want to ask Jag though.

comicbook database--> comicbookdb.com

it adds the issues automatically the day they are released

I don't have a comic wishlist, but what I do for titles that should be in my pull box, I got to diamonds website every Monday evening and then copy and past them into a word doc and then print that out for me to take to the comic book store. I also created a program for my video games and DVD collection, which the DVD does have a wishlist that keeps track of the ones I want and there release dates.

I don't track my comic collection. I'm constantly surprised when I look through my longboxes. :)

Yes. My longboxes are all marked with the sign, "Here there be monsters."

In blood.

That was not a pleasant night. :(

Does anyone know of a good program like CCL that works with Macs?
I couldn't find one, so I never bothered to organize my collection. I thought about just making an HTML or Flash document, but figured-what for? If you have Excell you could always just make a spreadsheet or database or whatever. But as far as I know, there is no such program for Macs. But like Twylight said, ask Jag. He knows damn near everything about Macs.

BTW All Mac users are automatically cool in my book

I throw them in a box, when I need something, I rummage, and always end up finding something else that interests me and forgetting what I originally intended to find.
