As in, are there any certain things going on in the background, like a small light, or music playing, etc.? I recently discovered a girl I know has this little night light she uses all the time, and has been for years...apparently sleeping in total darkness and silence freaks her out like a mother****er. :o I used to sleep with my kitschy retro lava lamp on back in like 2000 because I thought it was "cool", but that got old after a while. Now I just sleep with my window slightly open because I got used to hearing all the outside random urban noises like the sirens, train track noise, and the random nut in the alley yelling at 3am for no reason. :o

I sleep with no light. And I like it to be super quiet. When it gets cold like it is now I tend to pull the covers over my head.

Back in the day I would sleep with my arms crossed over my chest Dracula style for no apparent reason but that since stopped.

total darkness... ultra quiet.
Even a cricket keeps me up at night

I need one light on, door open, and the radio playing for me to sleep. I am a very deep sleeper and it's close to impossible to wake me up, I need to wake up naturally.

I sleep in total darkness and silence. Nothin' special about that, I guess. I usually put a small quilt over my eyes to block the light out.

I need the room to be cold, and some ambient noise going (a fan, the wind, rain)

I cannot sleep in total silence. I need something in the background. It's usually my TV. I grew up that way. When I was a little kid, my mom would sneak into my room at night to turn my TV off. I'd almost immediately wake up to turn my TV back on. I used to set my TV's sleep timer to go off after about an hour, but I'd wake up every time.

I'd have to be pretty damn tired to sleep in total silence, and even then I'd still wake up before getting 8 full hours.

I prefer total darkness, but light doesn't usually bother me. I tend to sleep deeper in darkness, yet fall asleep faster when the lights are on. Go figure.

I used to need total silence. Any repetitive sound like a clock ticking drives me nuts. But since I could never get quiet, I started leaving a fan on low just pointing out into the middle of the room. The white nose blocked out the annoying sounds, and now I prefer to sleep with some kind of white noise. Even if it's just leaving the window cracked to listen to the sounds of the city. Rain is very nice.

Infact, I downloaded an app for my phone that plays different types of white noises, I set it to rain storm, and it knocks me right out.

It's mostly a lot of tossing and turning in my bed because I just can't seem to get comfortable. Because of that it takes me hours upon hours to get to sleep because I just can't find a position to sleep in that doesn't bother me.

If I have some weed I'll smoke a little bean right before I go to bed. If not I listen to some music or read some comics untill my eyes don't function. Then off to la la land! :D

Ah, how do you sleep?
Ah, how do you sleep at night?

I sleep all kinds of sleep (?). If I'm sleepy, I can sleep standing. Sleep.

Seriously, smoking's bad for you regardless of what it is. I've seen way too many of my own family members fall because of this nasty habit, especially the grandmother I could turn to more than any other family member.

I normally sleep with a film playing in the background because I watch films in bed and never make it to the end. Now I'm used to it, I can't get in bed and NOT put a film on.

the only light in my room is from my computer on standby.

I sleep with my fan on, I need some noise. A cone will ease me in for the night.

I once fell asleep on the toilet: True Story :o

I did that once after a night out. Woke up two hours later. It was hard unbonding myself from the seat.

I sleep with my radio turned on and I just drift asleep

If I'm tired I'll sleep despite conditions. I've slept outside, on a bus, on friends floors with no quilts or pillows and sitting in a lecture. Obviously I prefer a bed but I don't like it too soft cause I always wake up sore.

There's a lot of personal data collection threads on the hype... why do you all want to know?

You need to be careful with that, you can end up with dingleberry's the size of kiwi fruit :csad:

Somebody's definitely storing a database of our answers and is intent on using it to take over the world...

I woke up about an hour ago and haven't been outside yet :P It grey and cold looking, but I don't plan on going out unless I have to go hunt down some dinner later, hehe.
