Of course the film would have been a masterpiece if those scenes were in it along with Spider-Man saving someone from a burning structure and a finale with a villain-gasses-the-city third act

Well we know that Tobey had been supporting Andrew since day one. Sure, he might feel different inside and he might have been caught off guard initially, but giving advice and being Andrew's "suicide hotline" was really cool of Tobey.
