Iron Man How is SHIELD going to be in the movie

well we already know that Nick Fury is going to be in the movie, so i was thinking how SHIELD is going to be in the movie. i think is going to be kinda like the CIA and MIB lol. (dont ask) but i think if they are going to be in the movie it should be like a mystery organization. and i think that they should also apper in other marvel movies so it feel more like the comics. so wat do you guys think...
and if there is a thread already for this am sorry...

No we don't know anything for sure yet...
all this hype is just coming from AICN article, nothing has been confirmed whatsoever....

But then, the shield in the movie.... pretty much like shield in 616...I guess

I think they'll only show up at the end when there's a big climatic fight between Iron Man and Iron Monger.

The military arrive and you'll see Fury barking out orders and stuff like that.

Maybe he'll even have an appearance towards the beginning when Stark returns from the Middle East. It would just make the role slightly larger and set up his role in the end, instead of just making it seem like a random Sam Jackson cameo.

they could be trying to confiscate the armor for national security reasons as they did in the comics for the guardsman armorthey want a unit of armored agents/soldiers

I would really love to see them impliment SHIELD into a bunch of newer marvel movies. It'd finally give it an actual tie in to make it feel like all these heroes are from one universe. Which would be nice.

I was thinking they could leak information to Stark. Without proper plot details it is hard to elaborate more but I was thinking of Fury helping out Stark in a shadowy way...either on the phone or something.

I don't know...it is really difficulty to explain what I mean...I will have to wait for a solid synopsis, not a vague one.

They could use S.H.I.E.L.D to arrest Stane unless they go the classic route and have him kill himself.

what we do know is that repulsor tech is supposed to be a big thing in the movie. assuming the nick fury cameo is true, then maybe he could show up for a couple of mins just to talk to stark about implementing said tech onto, lets say, an aircraft carrier?

it'd actually be kind of sweet if Fury shows up again in the Hulk movie and this time the carrier is undergoing construction/retrofitting, and then finally shows up in all its glory in the Cap/Avengers movie

there is speculation now of Hilary Swank playing a Shield agent (small cameo maybe), (possibily Maria Hill???)

So with Sam L Jackson rumours, there is the idea that this Iron Man movie would see the "birth".... of the shield

That makes all the marvel movies if connected, so much more interesting....

I agree, SHIELD's best asset is that it's the glue that holds the Marvel superhero universe together.
