If he's going to be in the Avengers movie. Are they going to show Iron Man, Thor, Wasp, Giant-Man unfreezing him in Avengers or in his movie? Or is Cap going to be a WWII movie?

I want it to be a half WWII half 60s/70s movie. That way you could have red skull still the bad guy when he wakes up.

I think they should do it like this.

Ironman: So Cap, you're awake!
America: Yes, you see it all started when...
Thor: Hey look guys! Check what I can do with this hammer! WOOOoo!!! YEAH! *spins it in mid-air*
A pause of silence...
IronMan: So cap...you're awake.
America: ...yeah.

I would think the Captain America movie would be made before an Avengers one, so that will give us at least some insight into how they're going to play it.

I've been saying all along that the Cap movie should deal with his awakening in modern times, but if Marvel is making Ant-Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, and Nick Fury movies followed by an Avengers movie (which they are - holy crap, is that awesome or what?) then maybe the Captain America movie could end with him going into suspended animation, only to be woken in The Avengers...

Thats a cool idea. It would be evn awesomer if they filmed Cap and The Avengers back to back.

Avi Arad is apparently adamant that the Cap movie involve the "time-travel" aspect-- I would have been fine with the first movie being simply a WWII film-- though, I suppose, a prequel could go back and follow those stories.. the Cap solo movie probably won't involve any other heroes in his unfreezing (I.E., Namor, the Avengers).. I also wish Bucky would be in the film, but considering the modern day plotline, he probably won't be...

Bucky should still be in the movie, and die in combat like he did before the "Winter Soldier" BS.

Cap "What's today's date?"

Iron Man "August 16th 2006."

Cap "Am I too late?"

Iron Man "I'm afraid so Cap. All you can eat night at the House of Ribs was over yesterday."

Cap "Dammit!"

That would be hot as fire... though I think it'd be a long summer of filming for Steve's poor actor... good goodness... but still sublimely cool...

I think it'd be hot to have Captain America go down fighting in the solid ice, especially in a heroic pose, having defeated the Nazi machine... everyone thinks it's over... (or doesn't, cuz they know 'he'll be back')

And then at the end of the Avengers preview have Cap walk out of the Shadows. "Avengers." Totally hot.

Just as they did in Ultimates.

A side-effect of the SSS.

are you saying Pauly Shore should wake him up, and then take him out to "weeze the juice?"

you mean like in his spider-man TAS appearance cap and the red skull were trapped in an energy vortex for over 50 years [as of the time the episode was made]?

That sounds like a Bullpen Bits strip

captain america is just a name they give to a guy as the last guy gets too old or dies, you know like 007.

the Captain America movie should soley be a period war film.

He should then awake in modern times for the Avengers movie. But I don't really see how he can just be frozen in ice on film. Maybe they can say that SHIELD forms after WWII and finds Cap half dead. They can put him in suspended animation until they can find some cure.

or maybe the nazis capture cap and put him in S.A. so they can experiment on himto replicate the supersoldier serum bu the war ends before they can and cap remains hidden from the postwar german government for years the modern german army finds him and contacts the u.s. when they both wake cap seeing a german officer outranking the american cap misunderstands the situation[alathe ultimates] and starts swinging
