As far as I'm concerned the Federal Reserve is the root of all of our problems.
Return to money that has actual value and you'd see a huge change.

The Root of the problem is the Political Class that allowed it to happen in the first place.

The best way to fix the economy would be to legalize marijuana, tax it, and trickle the money earned from it to several sectors of the economy. This is a multi-billion dollar industry which could boost the economy overnight.

We spend more money prosecuting, convicting and incarcerating people charged with drug crimes, and it doesn't serve as a deterrent to future drug use or sales. That would cut several billion dollars from our annual budget if legalized marijuana and decriminalized possession of a small amount of substances like heroin, cocaine, and meth. Besides, if people want to screw up their lives by becoming addicts, what can the government do to stop them? Throw them in jail? It hardly works, since recidivism among drug users is really high.

Plus, think of all the uses marijuana has (smoking, baking, medicinal use, etc.). You have multiple sectors of the economy which could benefit tremendously from making marijuana legal. It could be the next IT revolution we need.

Actually, the Chinese are planning to go to the moon to mine helium-3 by 2020. They believe it will be a viable alternative energy source. And other countries will scramble to get a hold of it, I'm sure. If only we could pre-empt their efforts.

healthcare.... I spend 4000 a year just on insurance... that doesn't include my 2000 deducable... that's 6000 that could be in my pocket, spent on other things... think about how much money you would have if you didn't have to worry about healthcare...

people think a national plan is bad... but only because it goes agains the American parental dream... why do most americans want to be doctors?? To quote Vince McMahon... it's all about the money.... and that right there is what's wrong with this country... putting a dollar amount, on a persons health....
