HT Improvement(s) on The Dark Knight – 12" Batman (TDK Version)

aha oh man I hope i get the better version,cause i brought one of ebya that was in stock : ( very confusing, and that chest does look big, but its still a very small gripe on an awsome toy. Mine should be here in the next day or 2, the moment i have it pics are comin up.

This sounds like message board gossip I'm afraid. I'll take it with a large pinch of salt until I see some direct A/B pics. My figure can look like either of the above photos depending on angle and pose.

To my eyes it shows how incredibly realistic and accurate it is for a 1/6 scale action figure. Are you sure you're not looking for something that doesn't (and isn't going to) exist? Nothing wrong with having high standards but they have to be tempered with realism. For example they're never going to make a body with Bale's exact proportions, and there are always going to be problems of scale when dealing with certain types of fabric.
Would I be correct in assuming you're not a regular 1/6 collector? Perhaps a statue would be more likely to give you the precise details you're after.

I think you're convincing yourself not to get the figure when you keep comparing it to a picture of the real Christian Bale.

JokerLedger, in the picture you posted, is the figure on the left the one that's being shipped out now?

I didn't say it's a bad copy, I'm just pointing out what I see are inaccuracies, but I can live with those. In fact, the more I do comparisons, the more I am convinced that inspite of those said accuracies, this is still by far the best one out there right now, and that I should go get one in December. I do these comparisons to while my time till it comes out. I'm not in a hurry to get it from Hong Kong, just biding my sweet time.

I only have 32 1/6 scale figures, I don't know if that's being a regular, HT TDK will be my 33rd. I have a few statues too. I tend to be more critical of the figures because I spend money on them and expect them to live up to the hype and price, hence the comparisons. Because I waited for the right time, I did not end up with buying the Medicom BB or the first HT BB just because, and I'm taking the same road here. So I am satisfied with most of my 1/6s largely due to being a stickler for details.

Oh, and if ever, the HT Iron Man Mark III will be #34 t:

Like I said in my previous post to tomk, I'm actually more into convincing myself to get it rather than not. I'm just doing all these comparisons to make sure I get the most for my money.

Only 32? lol, I have none! I've always thought I'd be content with the regular figures but this one somehow just screams "Buy me!"

IS the modified one, does it have a new body or is it just sanded down, because if its the body i might actually invest in buying the slimmer version.(and if it is, does anyone have a link to the exact body)

It is still a rumor…. There’s no official word, so far, in regards to the second wave carrying the improved HT TDK Batman or if there are any sort of modification done after the first wave. Anyway, if the rumors are true, the changes are minor and are very difficult to differentiate between the two... unless, if you have the first wave figure in hands to compare. In terms of the inner body frame of the this figure from the two waves, it is the same, however according to the rumors, if you believe it, the second wave chest-area of the body frame will be alittle tighter in comparison to the frame used in the first wave. Anyway, hopefully, there's some confirmation soon.

From what I read and seen, so far, in the other forums, there’re no real differences between the two waves. The two inner body frames appear the same to me IMO. Anyway, I think there’s really no need to change or modify the figure even further, not because I owned one from the first wave, but it is already an awesome figure for the scale and quality it is. Yes, it isn’t 100% perfect, but that is expected because of the limitation in the scale and materials used.

Just read that they didn't use the slim body type for the 2nd batch but instead the chest is slightly smaller and there are more detailed improvements on the armor.

I'm assuming all the first batches have been shipped already so if we haven't gotten our figures yet, we'll most likely get the slightly modified ones.

I'm sorry but I'll be absolutely astonished if this figure is changed once it's reached the production stage. Maybe they'll do a new version next year with some enhancements and, perhaps the sticky bomb gun, but for the time being, I'd say no. Be wary of reading too much into message board gossip, and especially wary of dodgy photos.
