HT Improvement(s) on The Dark Knight – 12" Batman (TDK Version)

Sigh. Now I wish I had waited and saved my money up for the HT Dark Knight and Joker figs instead of the DCD figs. Oh well.

I love that they made the adjustments. its not a 100 percent perfect, but its the best damn tdk batman out there.

unless you count medicom, but from what ive heard expect scale issues, problems with the rubber and low quality joints. i could be wrong, but ht's products are very much worth it. im getting one.

I cannot believe how much bulk the cape adds!? Looks a little too bulky anyway, but the cape adds to that tenfold.

Think I will butcher my Takara cape to fit this guy. He's on his way now!!

The lack of accessories on this thing makes me believe that we'll be getting a 2nd version when a third batman flick comes out. Or maybe before.

I am a bit disappointed that it didn't come with the backback cape and his sticky bomb gun. Those are essentials to the new batsuit

You sound surprised... it's been discussed for months that the stuff wouldn't come with it, but the default accessories.

That's the Takara Bats. He's not as realistic looking as the HT Dark Knight Bats imo.

And a sticky bomb gun would've been nice with the new figure.

Only in Hot Toys flagship store, everywhere else is delayed until end of October/November. Even Toys2.net and others have confirmed this.

The Dark Knight New Costume will be available in Nov'08, which will be our 1st wave.

It was previously thought to be shipping this week, hence we started to charge some order.

However, we were informed by Hot Toys that the stock shipping from them this week is only for the retail orders from their flag ship store in Hong Kong.

All wholesale orders, i.e. stocks for us, will arrive in Nov'08.

Hence we stopped charging orders and have re-adjusted the arrival date of this figure on our website.

We hope this clarifies matters.

I guess this is no suprise but bigbadtoystore.com has changed their estimated arrival from 3rd quarter to now 4th quarter 08

Hope no one fries me here for this observation. I was ready to order one until I A-B'd it with the current Bale/Batman pictures, and I find this figure too fat-big-bulgy. Maybe I'll wait for the Takara version, which I'm sure will come out with their own version too. I loved the Takara Batman, and I'm sure they'll deliver a better and more accurate one too. Just MHO.

Thanks for the pics, vodoun. Is it as articulated as the Takara Batman, able to do so many poses? Does it stand on its own or does it need to be on the display stand?
