HULK VS WOLVERINE and HULK VS THOR (no joke)

A DEFENDERS movie would kick butt (and at least feature Hulk again).

HULK VS. THE FANTASTIC FOUR may have made more sense about 5 years ago, but I am not sure it would be approved now, with the public not being keen on the Four. The Box set of the 2006 animated series (which wasn't perfect but gets unfairly trashed for being too comedic most of the time) was released by Fox last year and I am curious how that sold. At any rate, Hulk vs. the Four was done in that episode, "Hard Knocks", and Hulk vs. Thing was done even better in the 1995 FF episode, "Nightmare In Green". Until ULTIMATE AVENGERS (or HULK VS.), that episode easily had the best fight sequence in all of animated Marvel history. Disney released that series on box set, but it is now out of print and tough to find.

X-MEN VS. THE AVENGERS, on the other hand, I haven't seen before, and if Kyle is passionate about it as they were for these short films, it would be great. Passion is good.

BTW, talented comic cover artist Kaare Andrews was the one who draw the cover art for the HULK VS. DVD.

Sales figures are in. HULK VS. was #7 on the Top 10 DVD sellers list for it's debut week. It sold almost 179,000 units and netted over $3 million in sales. This of course
Awesome.

My favorite part was when Loki's soul was captured... I was cracking up... "Thor.... I helped you...." LMAO... anyhow, sorry for the spoiler.

I preferred the very close to 616 adaptations from HULK VS. than the Ultimate stuff. That was part of what I loved about HULK VS. This was not some rebranded redesigned idea of what a "modern" Thor should be; this was a stab at 616 Marvel U. Thor. This was not Ultimate Loki, or some "postmodern" Loki in green leather, this was iconic Loki. This was segments of Barry Windsor Smith's WEAPON X put to animation without forgetting the violence and horror. It was terrific, and if the production team is given a similar chance with X-MEN VS. AVENGERS, it would be great.

I like 616 AND ultimate Marvel. As long as they decide to be one or the other, then I'm right there. Hulk Vs. was all 616 and that's great. But stuff like UA & UA2 I thought sucked because it tried to be an amalgam of both. If they did adapt Ultimate War, I'd want them to go fully Ultimate then. I only suggested it because it was the only X-Men vs. Avengers type comic that I can remember reading and I enjoyed it. But if they can adapt a 616 version of X-Men vs. Avengers, then I'm all for it. Just don't go amalgam again.

I hate to repeat myself, but here's my big complaint with Thor and all the Asgardians as portrayed in all Marvel animation: WHY THE HELL DO THEY HAVE BRITISH ACCENTS?!?!

Shouldn't the Norse god of Thunder, and the Norse pantheon of gods, have NORDIC accents? Why do they always sound like characters out of Monty Python & the Holy Grail?

Do the casting directors not see the word "Norse" in the character bios? Do they not understand the difference between a Norseman and an Englishman? Do they think Thor is the British god of Thunder?

Because the British accent is Godly

It IS regal, true.

But when we have the Silver Samurai in a film, do you want him to have a British accent?

When we have Black Panther in a film, do you want him African, or to sound like Basil Fawlty?

When we have Crimson Dynamo show up in Iron Man, would you like him to sound like a Russian, or like a Dalek?

It's just weird that the Norse accent is completely ignored when this is the case where it should be applied liberally. For the record, I'm American- Not some Norwegian on a rant. I just think we should see Thor the way he's meant to be.

Umm why can't they be British?

It makes them sound more Shakespearean basically. I liked Matt Wolf's voice as Thor much better.

These are the absolute best animated movies Marvel has ever made!

The one and only complaint I have is that there's no way Hulk would just beat Thor that way! I'm not saying Hulk couldn't beat Thor, but he would come within an inch of his life doing it!

Thor is not as weak as he is portrayed in this movie, and it really surprised me because Marvel themselves got it wrong!

I agree. Hulk Vs. was just pure awesomeness. All the animated movies before this were just ****.

I hope Thor: Tales of Asgard and Planet Hulk will be as awesome.

This animated movie was ok,
i was expecting more from it,
but it was still entertaining
3/5

I watched both of these a couple of weeks ago...surprisingly fantastic! And even though I hate Wolverine, the Hulk vs Wolvie was my favorite out of the two. I was surprised that it was meant for children, however. Quite violent/adult.

Best line in both movies:

"TALKING MAN HURT HULK! HULK RIP OFF TALKING MANS HEEEAAAADDDD!!!!"

:hehe:

Ah, Deadpool was great. I hope he'll get his own DVD some day.

At comic con they said something about him appearing in something animated again, but they didn't say anything about his own series.

They should do though, make it adult though, like the Spawn TAS level of violence.

"Logan! We missed you! Weapon X just hasn't been the same without ya. No one calls me bub anymore...and Omega Red's a bed wetter!"

:hehe:

This is my favorite part in the movie.

Prof: "Despite Deadpool's idiocy, Weapon X is indeed pleased to have you back Logan. We put considerable time and money into you."

Deadpool: "And pointy things!"

*everybody looks*

YES!! :funny:

Yea I showed it to my mate the other day and he doesn't know anything about comics and he doesn't really like them, but he thought DP was awesome.

nightmare in green doesn't have the best fight in the entire marvel animated history.

it is a decent slugfest but it's not the best fight sequence, no way no how.

I could probably think of better ones in nearly every other marvel production.
