HULK VS WOLVERINE and HULK VS THOR (no joke)

Nah, he beat him to death. If Enchantress hadn't showed up, he'd have been sucking on Hela's teet for all eternity.

Yeah, Thor got his bippy spanked. I'm as big a Hulk fan as you'll find around here, and even I thought it was a little one-sided.
Yeah, Thor got his ass handed to him way too easily.

I wasn't real crazy about Matt Wolf's voice work as Thor. He just didn't come across with a lot of power. David Boat from the Ultimate Avenger features had more force to his voice. The other actors were good, Steve Blum was an excellent Wolverine.

The animation didn't impress me much. For all the brutality, the characters look like they were drawn by 6-year olds, which for me lessens the impact.

Overall, my feelings are a bit mixed towards this one. It's definitely better than that kiddie Avengers flick, but I wouldn't call it a ground-breaking masterpiece.

You know very talented kids. I suggest you kidnap them and make your own animation studio. Wish I had .1% of thier talent.

This was the cheapest Blu-ray I have bought, $19.99 at blockbuster, and I only really enjoyed Wolverine and wanted so much to enjoy Thor but it was just so damn boring. The action was very very, blah my brother left 20 mins in to go lay on his bed. The Thor preview was better than the movie if you ask me and the voice wokr of Thor was so not powerful, the one thing it did have going for it though was Cleavage. That was a great visual!

"Logan! I think we lost him!" Classic Deadpool! He and Loki made this dvd!

Hulk Vs Wolverine- 7/10
Hulk Vs Thor- 8/10
Hulk Vs- 9/10

??... How did it overall get a 9 out of 10?

Also how were the special features for the DVD? Its bothering me that I havent seen the extra stuff.

I was very happy with the HvW "making of." Haven't watched the Thor extras yet.

My favourite part of both movies was when DP was taking the piss out of Omega Red.

"...and he wets the bed..." :hehe:

umm. Some of you make me question whether or not you are truly comic fans. Sure you may have read some articles and you may own a few books within a continuity but can you actually read between the lines and figure things out.

First of all this whole Thor getting his tail whipped stuff is a wasted argument.

Banner is what holds the Hulk back, why he saves innocent kids or stops after he calms down. Now if a character is designed to become more powerful the angrier he becomes what would you expect to happen if all he can do is increase in anger and never decrease?

Did anyone else notice how much stronger Hulk got after he broke the spell? Did you notice how that was the true turning point in the fight. Hulk controlling Hulk was far stronger than Loki controlling Hulk.

And in my opinion Thor didnt get waxed. I thought he fought very well. Vegeta vs Broly, now that is getting waxed. Thor was fighting a being that never got tired, couldnt be broken, and was getting stronger. Cut the guy a break he did as best he could.

I like both movies. Still not anime quality but getting there. I mean the blood looked stupid. It was really really cartoony. Just big globs all over the place. They should go ask the Afro Samurai guys how its done.

I do read a lot of comics, but to be honest, in this situation knowledge of comics isn't really important.

The fact is in Hulk Vs Wolverine Logan put up a better fight than Thor. Doesn't that seem a bit off to any one else? Logan had Hulk on his knees at one point. It's just complete inconsistency in the writing, that's what pisses people off.

How to win friends on the Hype.

I know right?

In my opinion it seemed like Thor really had no interest in hurting Hulk because he already knew banner. There was a history there he spent some time just trying to calm him down and by the time he realized Loki was in control it was almost too late. Wolverine on the other hand did not know banner at this time and was clearly trying to kill him. It also appeared that the animaters an d writers took wolverine kind of from the movies because he was a little big and like in the movies his healing powers work very quickly to the point where he is basically invulnerable. And a wolverine that is invulnerable can beat pretty much anybody because all he has to do is out last his oponent

Looking at it as a whole, I'd give it a 9/10. The premises is very cool, the stories were fun, the animation was fun, voices were good, and it had some awesome Hulk mayhem. Looking at it as a whole, kind of like Grindhouse.

Yeah, for me Hulk vs Thor sucked big time. Thor's voice was weak, his speech inconsistent (sometimes he spoke Shakespearean and sometiems he didn't) and his demeanor a bit whiny for me. They did not capture the essence of Thor at all. This flick was just to continue their relentless promotion of the Hulk at the cost of de-valuing Thor, one of their greatest characters.

I thought the animation was terrible in hulk vs. wolverine. they had tiny legs and huge upper bodies. I thought rob liefeld's art was mis-proportioned. the animation on tv the last 20 years has looked better. i'm speaking of the spider-man and x-men fox series which wolverine looked the best in. they should've used that look. deadpool was funny but was portrayed too weak. he has taken out wolverine before.

I was thinking the same thing. Spiderman's cartoon in the 90's had better art. Why can't American art at least catch up to what was done with Ninja Scroll 15 years ago?

I never realized until I watched the Vs. Thor portion just how powerful Hulk really is. He is beyond gods. Heck, he is beyond any concieved idea of a god. I'm excited for a new Hulk film, now. I can't wait for the part where he says, "Hulk says let there be light!" and then Hulk sees that it is good. And, then, I'm anxious for Hulk to send a great flood over all the earth, sparing only Noah. Hulk Vs. Thor got me really excited. Now, when I die, I get to go to heaven and see Hulk sitting on his throne, surrounded by angels for all eternity. Hulk is the most powerful there is. Hulk created the universe and all life on earth. I need to up my offering contributions for fear the green almighty will smash me.

Amen!

I never got the impression watching the two that you were supposed to believe they were taking place in the same Universe or under the same circumstances. Other than the fact that they were both Marvel, I took each animation to be it's own distinct thing. Also, anyone even remotely familiar with Hulk knows that his power levels are not consistent. Hulk in Hulk versus Thor had a severely diminished Banner presence due to his manipulations by Loki. In fact the Hulk used in that cartoon seemed to draw from the Nightmare manipulated Hulk of Incredible Hulk #298. That Hulk is considerably stronger than most other forms of Hulk aside from maybe Dark Hulk and World War Hulk (and, of course, "The End" Hulk and the Maestro). The Hulk in Hulk vs Wolverine was clearly the Hulk depicted in Incredible Hulk #181, who was not only more intelligent, but also a misunderstood hero (see: the flashback showing Hulk protecting the village from Weapon X). This was obviously not the same one as the second video.

Both films were awesome.

Hulk vs Wolverine 10/10 - This was incredible, gritty, the fight scenes were great. Deadpool is a riot!! Wolverine is the man. He really did well against the Hulk. Not many can make that claim!!

Hulk vs Thor 8/10 - Seemed way to short to me and I agree with everyone else, the asswhipping that Thor got was a little much for me and the fact that he needed Mjolnir to do miniscule damage was disappointing. Could have given Thor a better showing than that.

I am hoping they do Hulk vs. Juggernaut or Silver Surfer.

Hmmm yea fair points.

Juggernaut would be awesome, yet I'd almost rather see Spider-Man vs Juggernaut, since that was a great comic. As for Silver Surfer, yeah he's cool, but a guy who can basically harness the power cosmic, even will creatures in and out of existence, has no business fighting Hulk...have him fight Mephisto.
