Action-Adventure Hunger Games Prequel | Lionsgate

Not bad. I can buy her as the same Mags from Catching Fire.

Haven’t read the book but are there any exclusive characters from Songbirds and Snakes that show up? Like an older Lucy Gray?

Haymitch’s girlfriend’s uncles were Lucy Gray’s band mates.

And towards the end, Haymitch sees Capitol footage of Lucy Gray performing.

One of the actors from The Long Walk, I believe. Makes me wonder if Lawrence considered Cooper Hoffman for Plutarch.

Thinking back on Drusilla, that casting might be a good opportunity for a Constantine reunion between Francis Lawrence and…

Also really hoping that Ralph Fiennes rumor has it wrong. Great actor but I can’t buy him as the midpoint between the two Snows we’ve seen this far.

Don’t know how I feel either.

Fiennes is great and all, but yeah… I just don’t know that I see Snow there.

Although I am curious to see how they extend that role considering he only really has one big scene in the book.

Kind of surprised they’re not just saving themselves money by casting one actress for both and letting some slight prosthetics give away that the two aren’t one and the same.

Huh. Really expected that one to be BS.

Not sure I can buy him growing up into Stanley Tucci, but he’s certainly got the charisma for the part.

Seems to me that just leaves Drusilla and what’ll presumably be a bunch of unknowns for the other tributes/Haymitch’s pals/etc.

I guess Haymitch’s mom too, but that role isn’t big enough for me to believe they’ll go that well known with it.

I can see Culkin as Caesar more than I can see Fiennes as Snow, but I wonder if they had known this was coming heading into Songbirds and Snakes they'd have saved Schwartzman for this. There's much more of a resemblance between him and Tucci.

This seems way more star-studded than the last one. I didn't really know the cast of the last one except for Viola Davis, until I saw the movie.

I feel like Lionsgate is really banking on this. I wonder if the book writer even has plans for a sixth book? I kinda feel like its a given.

I mean, surely he was executed, yes?

Other than Snow, he’s the most recognizable figure of the games.

My guess is he was thrown in prison. He wasn't in a significant position of power with blood on his hands so there was no real need to execute him.

There's also a fan theory that he was a rebel ally/spy which I could kind of buy.

Rumor is that he changed his last name and is hosting a food show in Italy.

Billy Porter is a real surprise. I didn’t think the character of Magno was prominent enough for them to cast someone that well known.

Close for Drusilla is solid, if a bit older than I expected they would go.
