Hurricanes come and go.They always have a new name.

Though the female named hurricanes tend to take a lot longer to come than the male ones.

Storm's Coming.

Man, when I think about it -- this sucks. I live in Florida (America's penis)!

I swear to Raiden, if this storm takes out the electricity and makes me miss out on UFC: Rio, Ima skullf**k Irene and make Katrina watch!! :argh:

I hope my dad will be okay. He's suppose to come up this coming weekend.

Yeah doesn't sound good for us Floridians, it's supposed to hit Thursday no?

We will know when it hits the Bahamas. If it hits the Bahamas then there is a good chance it will hit Florida. We all know that a Hurricane hitting land normally weakens it but with the water being so hot that could help the Hurricane keep its strength

I probably should get some supplies now rather than joining the panicked crowds on Wednesday. I haven't been through a rough storm since Katrina and have let my guard down considerably (Alabama Gulf Coast).

You should. It's going to be hell.

Ugh, I just realized I live in a dorm with alot of unpleasant students.

Ima have to protect my supplies and fire.

I just looked at the forecast and it's tracking along the east coast. I'm gonna roll the dice for now and see how it goes. And yes, I've lived here all my life and understand the folly of my attitude.

Sorry about the dorm situation! I used to ride out hurricanes with 10 extended family members and up to eight dogs in my grandparents' old, tiny house. Good times...

Same here. It was insane and chaotic at times. I just hated it mostly because it reinforced the damn stereotype of a large number of Mexicans being able to occupy a small space :o

I wouldn't mind so much if my university wasn't filled with a bunch of A-Holes. My High School was a small and socially-friendly institution -- everybody knew everybody and everyone, for the most part, got along. This school though feels like Middle School all over again, and that is depressing for a university/college.

I have family in North and South Carolina. Hopefully, they won't get hit too hard by this.

Somebody kill Irene

I live in Pensacola , Fl. There hasn't been much talk about it but the locals say we're due for another hurricane.

I went to the local BJ's store near where I live and that place was packed. Luckily, I was only in the store for a few minutes, but geez. I can't imagine that place or any other grocery store or wherever when it's Wednesday or Thursday for that matter. Stores are madness here.

It looks like all Florida is going to get is some rain
