I'll be a technical trainer, which means I'll be away from my desk teaching a lot. There's a lot of other benefits as well (such as I'll no longer have to be the g0-between/mediator between people in the department who don't speak to each other), including better pay... about 10-15,000 more a year (we're still negotiating that).

999's "The Biggest Prize in Sport" is a fantastic album, and the first Vibrators album is pure gold. they have a song called Stiff Little Fingers on that record and it's where the band SLF got their name from.

Yeah, the other band members went to that gig but I was stuck doing homework Gah!

Wish I went...could have added it to the list of great punk bands I've seen.

I've been working on the retirement thing for a couple of months....had planned to take some time off then get a part time job....then we got the news of her pregnancy....now we figure it will probably be cheaper in the long run for me to stay home and take care of him/her than go back to work and pay for daycare.
