Moving on...Tribes are set, the game is a go, I know I said I wouldn't be starting Day 2 until tomorrow, but this way you guys will be done by AT LEAST 8 pm on Sunday and able to celebrate your holiday without the game hanging over your head. THERE ARE MANY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS BELOW SO READ THIS THREAD CAREFULLY
The Rules (for you lucky non-Survivor fans)
20 people will start this game. 18 will actually play this game.
Each 'day' is marked by a new challenge. Each tribe will receive team challenges (instructions for challenges will be explained for each challenge). Right answers during challenges will obviously earn points and wrong answers will be worth none. The tribe with the most points at the end of the 'day' (or round) wins immunity. The tribe with the least points must vote off one of their members via PM in a tribal council. Also, in this game... immunity may be decided by something other than trivia. You will be completely briefed on this before it happens, so do not fret. In the event of any ties, there will be a tie breaker question in which a tie will not be possible.
Each tribe will have a captain. Captains will be established on Day One. They are responsible for collecting the tribe's answers and turning them into me. I will only accept answer PMs from the tribe captain. If the captain is unavaliable for whatever reason it is their responsibility to designate a replacement captain for the time they are unavaliable and inform me of this.
To remove a captain from their position he or she must be voted off of the tribe. Once this occurs, ONLY THE PLAYERS WHO VOTED THE CAPTAIN OUT will be allowed to elect a new captain.
If your tribe happens to win three days in a row, then they'll be given a gift in addition to their immunity: they'll go to tribal council on behalf of the other tribe and they'll vote off ANYONE IN THE GAME THAT THEY CHOOSE.
At some point the tribes will be merged into one tribe. The game will only have one merge at a time already designated. Only the hosts will know about this day until the time it actually happens. There may be additional twists and turns throughout the game, so do not get too cozy.
Hype! Survivor is a game of both strategy and deception. Alliances are both permitted, and encouraged. So find a friend, and sex their brains out. Masterminding and forethought are the keys to success. Laziness and ineffective play will both be penalized and exposed. Hosts have the right to intervene at any point in the game for the sake of keeping dead weight out. As a side note: alliances can be with any of the 20 players... doesn't matter who they are... doesn't matter what tribes they're on... just make sure it's someone you trust... or not. As the old saying goes: keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.
The final Jury will be composed of 9 people: everyone voted off from the remaining nine players who didn't make the finals. The hosts will not be voting in the finals this time around. The Jury and only the Jury will vote FOR WHO THEY THINK SHOULD WIN of the final two remaining players to find the winner of the Hype! Survivor.
A note on cheating: It's very easy to cheat in this game. Very, very easy. Some of the rounds will be much more difficult to cheat at than others (some will be downright impossible to cheat on). Regardless, hosts have ways of catching you, and sometimes will even set up traps for you. If you feel you have to cheat, by all means, go ahead... but if you're caught, you WILL be penalized. Again, specific rules of what's legal or not will be in each challenge PM.
This game will not support dead weight. The last game I attempted to host ended prematurely as I recruited entirely new players, all of whom lost interest about half way through the game. If the host feels at any time that you are dead weight he reserves the right to boot you and replace you. Also, if your tribe feels that you are dead weight, they may petition me for your removal from the game and replacement with someone else at which point your case will be heard and it will be decided.
These rules are subject to change at any time with absolutely no warning. They are more of guidelines for the game. Specific rules for each challenge will be issued via Challenge PM. Any dispute with the host will be settled through the Ghost Host (aka: The King). He is a neutral party who will look at the dispute and decide who is in the wrong (it will probably be you, though). Alright, as I said, there are important announcements this round, so lets get right to it.
1) This day introduces two new aspects to this game, firstly let me introduce my lovely co-host Pirateking. She will not be a co-host in the sense that you are used to because of time zone differences (she lives in this magic place called "The U.K.", I think it is like that place Alice went to, only with Cockneys) she will not be actively running Days (possibly a few if I am indisposed). She will be making some challenges however and will be handling disputes just as I would. She has the same authority as I do and you are to treat her as you would me (In other words,Brodie, you can treat her just like a piece of **** too and Farmer Fran, you can send her 50 PMs a day too!)
2) My second announcement of the day is a new addition to this game. Anyone who has seen the past few seasons of Survivor is familiar with something known as "Exile Island". Each time a tribe loses, the opposing tribe will select a member to send to Exile Island. This member will not get to vote in tribal council (also, they will not be able to be voted off) and they will not be permitted to take part in the next day's challenge (they will return to their tribe following it). How will I keep them from doing the challenge, you ask? There are moles in this game, like last game. I have AT LEAST 2 in each tribe. So if you cheat, I will know. Unlike last game, there is no benefit to hunting down the moles (although the mole may recieve bonus points if they make it to the end), the moles will not try to destroy your tribe like last game...they are there simply for my benefit and are a player like the rest of you. So behave and no forwarding the challenge PM to our exiles or I'll know and you will be removed from the game. Oh, did I mention that on Exile Island there is a hidden immunity idol that can be used at any point in the game? It is hidden somewhere on this board and you will be given a clue on how to find it each time you go. The idol can be used once anywhere up until the final four. If you get it, no one will know but you and the people you choose to tell.
