Hype Survivor Hype Survivor 29: Spy vs Spy - Day 6: 24 Hours of Detection and Defection

If that is the case, I know nothing of 24 continuity :csad:

Fear not! Matt's on the case! I researched it and I think we now have all the information we need!

Ok decision has been made, it was indeed the Palmer cap, the white spies posted an hour earlier but used a different image to the one the black spies used, however on discussion we felt that the image the white spies used met the criteria and so we are now in a tie breaker with both teams equal on 11 points each.

Not really. It was a clever gamble, because if you were right, it would've paid off big, but being in the same room is not really meeting. You guys should've asked for clarification before trying it.

I know there will be some not happy about this but we discussed it and felt that Jack stalking Palmer was not a meeting between the two, that came later in the cap the white spies posted. If the item had been "A cap of the first time both characters are in a scene together" then you guys would have won.

If it is two different images, are they both of the same scene?

No, the White Spies posted a picture of their first interaction in CTU.

Wait, so it didn't count or it counted? Your first post Hunter makes it sound like we were ahead, you counted it, and now there is a tie. So, it not counting created the tie?

I'm confused :csad:

*raises hand*

...to be fair, the cap we submitted was the very first eye contact between the two characters. The rules did not specify whether or not they had to have a conversation, all it said was 'meeting'.

No, that is what caused the discussion, despite your team posting later than the white spies you posted a different image, had your image been correct to the definition of the item your team would have won, but it wasn't.

Yes and to me that is not a meeting, I shared eye contact with a rather attractive waitress last week but I don't see that as meeting them.

I am just curious to which tribe got which points from the list.

Sure I can do that, but would you guys prefer the tie break to get under way first?

I respectfully disagree man. All the rules said was 'meeting'. Had you said 'the first scene where they have a conversation', I would have posted the one in CTU.

What's done is done though, no use in debating it further.

Is the tie-breaker being posted here or PMs?

Then why preface that with an argument? :oldrazz:

That's fair enough man, I guess we just have a different perception of what meeting someone entails.

...because I feel like I need to make my point clear. The challenge said 'meeting', not 'where they have their first conversation'.

But if whats done is done, why even bother? Meh, I don't much care either way. I back Hunter's decision. I reckon its the right one.
