Keep in mind that Dazzler's first appearance was 1980 (in X-Men 130), so her disco looked was deliberately dated from the beginning. Given that, I'm not sure a 70s movie would be fitting.

Disco was still a thing in 1980; her look wasnt that dated.

Disco was still a trend in the early 1980's, if I remember correctly, it died out between 85 and 86.

I wonder, hypothetically, if they would make new music for it or just use classic disco tracks. Classic disco would be fun because you could have sing along sessions since everyone knows the words.

I would love to see dazzler sing some Donna summer. Or it could be a mix of classic and new

Whenever Dazzler is cast they need to have the actor record an album or mixtape.

Olivia Newton John doesn't look so great these days. I think she's had too much plastic surgery.

But there are definitely elements of Xanadu I would like. Of course, that movie didn't do very well. I'd hope Dazzler did better. And it should have mostly original songs, just like High School Musical. There should be enough of them that one day Dazzler could even be transferred to the Broadway stage as a musical.

Has Taylor Swift done any acting? I'm not a fan of her musically, but I could see the idea working depending on that fact - this is assuming we're talking about Dazzler being part of a team movie. My view is stunt casting will work better there. But, if we're talking a solo movie, hire a real actress.
