Sequels Hypothetical: a Dazzler spin off

A dazzler musical movie sounds different but at the same time i don't even know if marvel or DC would do such a thing.

Just look at gambit and how long they been holding on to the idea of a solo.

Why would it kill it? Did X-Men Origins Wolverine kill the possibility of a Deadpool movie?

Fox are better off making a Dazzler movie separately from X-Men, and then if she's successful, integrating her in the X-Men film universe. Don't just make her a side character in a big ensemble film but have her launch her own movie franchise.

Dazzler could sustain her own franchise if Fox had the artistic vision, because it would appeal to the musical crowd. If the soundtrack went platinum, people would flock to see the movie to see the songs performed on film in addition to just hearing them in the charts. There could be a ton of cross promotion here.

Girls kept singing "Let it Go" from Frozen and wanting their parents to take them again and again. That drove its success even higher.

High School Musical was also hugely successful. Dazzler has the potential to tap into all of that. It shouldn't be saddled with X-Men Dark Phoenix. Let it be a breath of fresh air as its own movie instead, and as a female comic book movie.

I think Dazzler has the potential to be one of the biggest comic book movies of all time if it were done properly and by someone with a vision. It could even spawn a stage musical just like you get with musicals like the Lion King, Beauty and the Beast etc.

Like because Dazzler has a huge fanbase as Deadpool?

If someone leaks a CGI piece featuring Dazzler, I doubt the online reaction would push a greenlight from Fox.

And I don't care if it has the potential to be the next Frozen, it doesn't. But I would rather see Fox focus on the actual team instead of doing another solo. They already wasted their time on Gambit which is still under development hell when he could have already joined the team.

I reckon wonder woman's success could only push the project along. So what if not a lot of people know about her? Not a whole lot of people know about Gambit but they're still trying to get that off the ground

Gambit is a passion project with a big star attached to it that has unsuccessfully been trying to make it happen for years. I dont think its quite the same thing here. I doubt that film will ever come out. I dont think WW will have any impact on a hypothetical Dazzler film.

Passion project? Fox only went ahead with it because of Channing and they couldn't even start filming... That's not a passion project IMO.

And Wonder Woman is a famous superheroine and Dazzler is simply not. The best thing they could do is make her a member of the X-Men and use her well. There's not even a solo film for Storm, Rogue, Jean and Psylocke.

Exactly my point. Its not a passion project for Fox. It is for Channing and he is the one thats been trying to make it happen. He seems to be into it and really just him

Who would play Mojo? I think he is the perfect villain to cast for our times. Maybe Mark Addy? And longshot? Finn jones would have been perfect for him once upon a time. Ooh! If it's a musical, maybe Adam Lambert!

Mark Addy would've been perfect for the Blob. His face and his voice just the character perfectly.
I think Paul Giamatti would be great for Mojo just based off of his performance in Private Parts. He can be villainous, zany and incredibly intense like nobody's business.
I like Alexander Skarsgard for Longshot. Or Dylan O' Brien for someone younger.

fox really should consider this. it will be fun and fresh.
and cast proper singer-actress. not actress.

why spend 200m for main x men universe which will bomb at box office with no critic support?
make 3 x men movie with 200m budget with different, fresh, creative way.
