I Forgot To Renew My License

I'm in need a few answers. I live in South Carolina. It's my birthday today and I just got my license out a few minutes ago to look at something and noticed that my license expired today.

I thought about it a couple weeks ago but with being swamped at school and now with Thanksgiving it just totally slipped my mind.

Is it no big deal? Will there be any recourse from the DMV if I come in a few days past my license expiration?

In South Carolina there is a grace period as far as DMV is concerned and you should suffer no real consequences. I lived in Myrtle Beach for awhile and the same thing happened to me and it was cool. I just went in a few days later and handled it.

I actually dug up a letter they sent me a couple of months ago about my renewal period. Because I met certain perameters, I was allowed to renew my license online.

To a few minutes and I should be good to go now.

Shouldn't be a big deal. People forget to do this all the time. Even cops tend to be pretty lenient about this stuff.

My license was expired for nearly 5 months in West Virginia and when I moved to VA all I had to do was pass a vision test. I'm sure you'll be fine.
