I have a PS3 problem.

Here's the problem, when I turn my PS3 on with a disc already inside it, the movie name tends to show up when I am using a blu-ray disc but the space beside it where the logo/avatar of the movie/game is supposed to be continues to spin on & on, & when I press play it just goes to a black screen, so does anyone know what could be the problem?

Call Sony. They may be able to troubleshoot it over the phone for you.

It sounds like your disc drive/laser is going out. Soapy is having a similar issue and is fixing it himself.

Maybe shoot him a PM and get some pointers. It seems very easy and cheaper than sending it to Sony.
