Basically, what I'm wondering about is how much the Thor comics deviated from the myths in certain areas. They're both Loki related:

1) Upon taking Loki in, did Odin and Loki preform a blood pact as in the myths?

2) In some of the bios I've read of Balder, it has said that he's died and ben resurected a few times. Did Loki murder Balder as he did in the myths at any point?

Time to bump the stupid question thread.

During Walter Simonson's first issues on Thor, Balder was just returning from dead town after Loki put the kibosh on him.

Ah. Thank you. Was that story set in modern times or a flashback?

I am not sure what a blood pact is but I've got the comic with me right now and this is what Odin says:

"Hear me, Legions of Asgard! From this moment hence, I proclaim Loki: Son of odin, Half-Brother to my well-beloved Thor! For better or for worse, Loki is forever more an immortal of Asgard! This have I proclaimed! So be it!"

Hope it helps.
