I feel like I'm alone in this struggle, but I've stood adamant - I dislike, with very extreme passion, World of WarCraft.

But lately... I have been wanting so bad to play a good MMORPG. I downloaded a 14 day trial for Star Wars Galaxies which I used to play, back when it was cool. It is no longer cool, and currently sucks massively. I am waiting for Warhammer Online, but it got pushed back. And I don't know too much about Age of Conan that's coming out.

My best friend and my brother both play World of WarCraft, and are always trying to get me to play. But I've always adamantly declined.

But in my desperation for an MMORPG, I have now sold out. I bought the 14 day trial for World of WarCraft... I feel all dirty inside, like I have to take a hot shower now to get this funk off. *sigh*

We all sell out in the end. Everyone's a ****e, so you may as well hike up that skirt and take it like a man.

You know we have a Games forum, right?

I played WoW for 2 years, and got insanely bored with it. Its fun for awhile, but then you come to the realization towards the lvl 60 area that you now have a second job, except you pay them! It get very repetitive towards the end, where you just raid dungeons and have to kill lots of the same crap over and over again. Not to mention that if you do a dungeon or raid, that you'll have better have the next 3 to 4 hours free cause thats how long its gonna take you to finish it. I quit 8 months ago, and have no desire to go back.

Well, it's over. Soon you're going to be up all night trying to collect reputation points, to buy that "final" mount. But, it'll never be your last. Soon, you'll start offering yourself for your next fix. You'll put up adds on Craigslist "BBBM looking for BBW/B/M/F/couple...name your price/I'll do ANY thing. Transfer funds, up front, to [email protected]."

:(

I thought you sold out when your ghettoliciousness of yourself tried to get that job at Hot Topic.

I picked up WoW because I heard lots of good things about. But I just couldn't get into it, it was confusing and really boring and hard. I'm more of a Diablo II guy, I absolutley loved/miss that game. It was the best RPG ever.

City of Heroes/Villians is pretty cool too

WoW is fun for a while. But it can get pretty tedious.

This thread smells of fat and pimples.

I played the 14 day trial...it was very meh.

If you want a good MMORPG, stick with City of Heros/Villians.

isn;t warcraft the one where you kill a gobiln, build a fire, smelt some iron, make a slightly better sword, kill another gobiln and then you get to make a slightly better fire:huh:

Played WoW on and off since Euro beta wayyyy back in the day. Though I play a lot less now than I use too, it's a time-sucking leech

If you go the alliance, expect 13 year old kids who do not know the difference between tank/dps/heal or the need/greed rule (it seems even at level 35 many still do not know) , if your in a guild with a bank, expect alot of newly invited people to take everything they can and put nothing back, expect random invites from kids expecting you to play the game for them and do all there quests. The gameplay for an mmo is pretty good, the problem I have with it is the community, it is terrible, a truly terrible self serving community.

I had surplus gold and time to pester people to sign my charter and have my own guild bank >.<

Yea thats annoying as well, the chines gold farmers and spammers are in every major city spamming like hell, blizzard does nothing, anyone who's lame enough, can just buy a crap load of gold in minutes, while you spend weeks and weeks building it.

there should be a Lost game. it'll be cool. Run around on an island, survive the monsterous crapness that goes on the island...
