I have officially sold out.

I feel like I'm alone in this struggle, but I've stood adamant - I dislike, with very extreme passion, World of WarCraft.

But lately... I have been wanting so bad to play a good MMORPG. I downloaded a 14 day trial for Star Wars Galaxies which I used to play, back when it was cool. It is no longer cool, and currently sucks massively. I am waiting for Warhammer Online, but it got pushed back. And I don't know too much about Age of Conan that's coming out.

My best friend and my brother both play World of WarCraft, and are always trying to get me to play. But I've always adamantly declined.

But in my desperation for an MMORPG, I have now sold out. I bought the 14 day trial for World of WarCraft... I feel all dirty inside, like I have to take a hot shower now to get this funk off. *sigh*

Play Guild Wars. No monthly fee.

And wayyyyyy better than WoW. No huge level cap, no enormous amounts of skills to carry around, and the game's got a pretty short learning curve.

Do it:up:.

I thought you sold out when your ghettoliciousness of yourself tried to get that job at Hot Topic.

What? Are you still on the kick that I worked at Hot Topic for 3 months, because it paid better and gave me better hours than the other job I had at the time?

And ghettoliciousness? When have I ever said -anything- ever about me being anything remotely ghetto? I listen to rap music, that doesn't make me ghetto...

I played the 14 day trial...it was very meh.

If you want a good MMORPG, stick with City of Heros/Villians.

City of Heroes is good, and I have thought about going back to that. I originally left it when all of my friends that I played with all quit playing, and our little super group was dead.

I never got City of Villians. Perhaps I'll eventually check out City of Heroes again, my only problem with it is that it got pretty repetetive.

I picked up WoW because I heard lots of good things about. But I just couldn't get into it, it was confusing and really boring and hard. I'm more of a Diablo II guy, I absolutley loved/miss that game. It was the best RPG ever.
Loved diablo II, but sadly blizzard isn't going to make a D3, they have way too much money from WoW addicts to even waste their time :csad:

I just can't handle all your Thugnificence.

Some "insider" actually claimed D3 is in the works, in the form of an MMORPG based on the war between Heaven vs. Hell. How true this is, I don't know, but the article he posted sounded convincing.

Then Hellgate London came out, and that kind of squashed those theories. However, after Hellgate, the D2 team creation team returned, looking for more recruits to help on a game... Which, I would guess, may be somehow related to D3.
