apparently a while ago I found some article on some site that compares Bale's Batman to Clooney's Batman to the 1960's batman and I forgot what site it was on...can someone help me?

Yes, he does. You can't compare his Batman to serious Batmans. They have two different purposes, and say what you will about the campiness of the West series, he succeeded in his role and purpose.
